I'm predicting 3-10. These teams are much better than the Mets and they're in a hot race where every game counts.

Hope I'm wrong but fear I'm right.

I fear it will be somewhere between the 3 you predicted and the 6 I (hopefully) did.

Big sloppy kiss to whoever took 10.

I went for 8-6 because things rarely play out the way the pundits and experts and everybody, really, thinks they'll play out.

Also, I was thinking of starting this exact same poll/thread for the last few days, down to the 14 choices, one for each W-L possibility.

It's Key-Runch time fer sure.

Seven games against the defending champs who score the most runs while allowing the fewest, this despite losing Kershaw, Bauer, and Dustin 'Gingergaard' May off

their rotation for long stretches of time. And then we have six more games against the team that's currently better than them and has been for much of the season.

Max Scherzer gets traded out of the division and yet we'll see him twice in a week anyway.

I hadn't realized until today that these next two weeks are in an odd Home - Away - Away - (off day) - Home set up, meaning, among other things, that, in addition

to 11 of the 13 being night games* (Wednesday the 18th in SF and Sunday the 22nd in LA are late afternoon starts) five of those will be late night starts EDT,

creating a strong possibility that this season could well go down the drain with me missing most of it.

* Your schedule might say that this Sunday is a day game in CitiField but, as ESPN mentioned a few dozen times during the FoD telecast, it's been shifted to their night game

All six games at CF are 7:10 starts.

"Hey @MLB @ESPN whose dumb f--king idea was it to change tomorrow's game to a night game when we're traveling to the west coast after ...

Won't get in until Monday morning. Take on the 1st place Giants later that evening. Brilliant." -- N. Syndergaard (on his Instagram account)

I thought that was against some rule or something. Maybe it's only for

teams travelling West to East? Either way, unfair and stoopid.

yes, just traveling west to east but can be waived for ESPN regardless.

It's not a great situation, but East to West you get almost 24 hours to get from end of one game to start of the next across the country compared to 18 the other direction. It's not great, and Thor has a point, but at least you have the time to actually have a full "night" sleep.

I suppose a thread to predict how many games out we'll be on 8/27 would be

morbid overkill... train wreck before leaving the tunnel. #lgm #ygb #ymdyf

No time like the present. Let's think about it in chunks... sweep the Giants NOW!!!
