  1. Nah. But I would definitely consider making the code and the data available to another interested party.
  2. I sent a message in April to the admin's personal email address, and never got a reply. I definitely gave the site to the wrong people. Unfortunate, but the shadow site that I've kept alive will remain indefinitely. Eliminating box scores, transactions, and minor league stats, and no longer keeping track of the movements of former Mets players who are still active, means that it's taking up very little of my time. But I really would have liked to have been able to pass the torch and let someone else take over. I suppose I can still do that, but the UMDB name appears to be unrecoverable.
  3. I'd like to think that they're sifting through dozens of fantastic options. I'd also like to think that they'll make the right decisions, but that's another story.
  4. I knew 2, but couldn't get his name quite right. Anyway, I think 2 is Sandy Alomar Sr.
  5. Still nothing. Still says May 31.
  6. I mainly remember the presumption that Jarred Kelenic should be considered a future Hall of Famer. That was an essential part of the essential question.
  7. Whenever Kelenic's name comes up, I remember this post. Today I finally took the time to find it:
  8. I'm glad I don't have to make that decision. I remember thinking that I'd keep Ike Davis and deal Lucas Duda. That wouldn't have worked out well. My gut says keep Benge, but that's not an informed choice. I pretty much tuned out about a month ago.
  9. I remember liking Tomas Nido. I don't know if his stats back that up.
  10. He spent too much time with other teams. There's really nothing on his plaque that's specific to his time with the Mets, unlike with Seaver and Piazza.
  11. I read some speculation somewhere (likely from one of the beat reporters, but I don't remember which one) that the Mets had always been likely to eat the last year of Semien's contract (2028) but might also be inclined to eat 2027 as well. The old Robinson Cano treatment.
  12. This trade looked bad from the start. I doubt that very many people are surprised at how it turned out.
  13. Future generations will ask, who was this Carlos Valdes guy?
