I lean on the bit of reverb and forgiveness that a microphone allows me. I won't deny it. I had a gig a few weeks ago where the venue lost power, mid-song in fact. I did a good 7-8 songs in a fully unplugged fashion and made choices that suited that presentation style. It came off all right, albeit as a more exhausting way of entertaining. For the first time in more than 20 years, I will not be making it to any in person NY Mets games this year. Now with Soto on the pine, there's even less reason for me to make the drive. Yesterday was 80+ degrees and sunny out, I went and watched some local musician friends of mine playing outdoor sets and sipped craft beer. Tell me I didn't have a better time than someone watching this toilet fire of a ballclub. We'll still take in a bunch of Syracuse Mets games, cheaper, closer to home, etc.

But they won so that was cool. Fboy and I watched. First game I've tuned in to in probably 2-3 weeks.

This was a good game to miss it turns out.
