  1. I can't remember how many times I forgot about my fantasy team this season.
  2. Kind of fun, has Raimi's fingerprints all over it.
  3. I've been completely negligent of my team, including spacing out and missing the draft, but somehow I'm in second place.
  4. A middle-aged immigrant, small-business owner, and mom is totally stressed out by a tax audit. Hijinks ensue.
  5. When I was a kid my sister started watching The Godfather but I bailed because it started with just lots of people yelling at each other in Sicilian. I only found out a few years ago that she must've been watching The Godfather Saga when I finally got around to watching The Godfather and The Godfather, Part II.
  6. Sorry to end your championship streak, mm! I started the league when my son was little and wanted to do fantasy baseball, but now he's old enough that he's made his own league with friends his own age. I think maybe only 3 or 4 of the managers were actively participating last season so I figured it served its purpose.
  7. Nope. It's officially retired.
  8. Lost in everything else, this movie did pick up the Best Documentary award. It also received the lesser honor of being my favorite movie of 2021.
  9. I can do any of those times or dates. I agree with FMan that later might be better.
  10. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Bernie Sanders of Tuesday Night Mets fame says he can do it if there's still a spot This reminds me. Next time you make a video with Bernie, I'd like to request he use the term "https://www.commondreams.org/news/2022/03/10/sanders-welcomes-end-major-league-lockout-slams-baseball-oligarchsMLB oligarchs."
  11. I liked it. Had a warm, Spielbergian "kids delve into mysteries" feel to it with a strong performance by McKenna Grace, crossed with a tribute to the original cast (who are in the movie a whole lot less than I expected). I also liked the 2016 version, which was bigger on laughs, whereas Afterlife is more of charming family film. But I agree with Edgy that the 2016 version would've been better if it was just the same Ghostbusters business 30 years later and the original crew had retired and now everyone who worked there was a woman. Maybe they could've had one of the four just starting on the job when the film begins to serve as a point-of-view character. Anyway, Ghostbusters 2016 and Ghostbusters 2021 are a whole lot more fun and entertaining than that piece of crap Ghostbusters 2.

  13. It has some good moments but is basically an average romantic comedy.
  14. There really needs to be a 50-hour multi-part set of uncut concert footage. Gotta say the energy of The 5th Dimension performance really changed my impression of that band.
  15. The soundtrack was released to today.
  16. It seems that John Lindsay divided his summer between Shea Stadium and the Harlem Cultural Festival.
  17. It always amazes me that the band churned out two albums plus of material for 8 years, plus constant touring for 5 of those years, plus making two movies, plus just everything that goes with being the most famous people on Earth. They definitely would've benefitted from a year-long sabbatical starting around 1968/1969 with plans to "get back" together afterwards.
  18. Not only was "I Me Mine" finished after these sessions but it was the only Beatles track recorded in the 1970s. (Unless you count John Lennon's demos of "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love").
  19. C'mon, that was a funny deep cut reference!

Paul, Ringo, and Olivia Harrison refused to go along. So ... Yoko would have been cool with that? As a compromise they could have the Beatles curse Sir Walter Raleigh, he's such a stupid git.
  21. Those Italians were real assholes, though.
  22. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Gets power on the up-pedal So basically the same thing as toe clips or clipless pedals. I still feel they risked losing a lot of time to do the tying.

I've remarked in the past that it's one flaw is in overburdening the villian.. its not enough that the same guy interrupts their swimming hole meetup, but he happens to be retrieving a Frisbee they run over, he's heavily involved in the bar fight, his girl happens to fall in love with Stoller and he's the main Little 500 rival. They could do a sequel on the story from his perspective and call it BROKEN AWAY I honestly didn't even realize it was the same guy.
  24. Watched this again tonight and it's still freakin' terrific. I've never understood why they tie Dave's feet to the pedals, though.
