LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Not fascinatingly beefy, but still.Wait for yours, buddy. I like Piss Missile's chances better.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Well how bout that! Conforto as the tying run if there's any love in the world.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 God, they're teasing us all.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Terrific!I thought Conforto would get to second, but ... .
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Man, I'm getting a bit excited here. Pete with his chance to be the hero !

LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 For all the JD Davis agita whenever a ball got popped up to him... if not for the two-run error by Guillorme, this ballgame continues, at least.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Wow. The Mets are metsing in full midsession form.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Frayed Knot stole my IGT.I'm just saying.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 I thought that muff was at least as much on McCann as on Luis, if not more. But everything that could have gone wrong in the 8th there did. It was no one thing.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Frayed Knot wrote:I thought that muff was at least as much on McCann as on Luis, if not more.Agreed and agreed, though Luis' mistake was throwing it across the runner, from inside the baseline to outside. But committing to your stretch too early is why I was a lousy firstbaseman. McCann isn't a firstbaseman, but he should've had that.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Meet the Mets is a song, not a game plan. Rojas is so fucking awful

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Jake pitches shutout ball and can't get a win. Neither can the Mets. That never happens.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 This game sucked a garbage bag full of steamed assholes.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 "Jake's pitching great!""Yeah, but let's take him out because he hasn't pitched in a game in 2 weeks and it's a long season.""Uh, shouldn't we try and win this game? He's cruising!""We'll be fine."Here's the thing: Rojas was asked during his afternoon press conference about deGrom, and he was explicit that Jake's pitch count was going to be around 100 today. The words were said, and all.
