Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Well we made it through another long offseason, including the astonishing Harvey Trade, and we officially welcome a bunch of new Mets and that new manager. It's deGrom v. Carlos Martinez. It's 42 degrees, cloudy, damp and windy. Let's play ball![youtube:2mk3ubq8]jXZcJojTucg[/youtube:2mk3ubq8]
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I like this Thursday opening day and can't wait to see the big free agent acquisitions in action.
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Heck no! It's 75 and sunny!! And we have ourselves a new stud starter that we never even heard of in 2017. And all new trainers! Guys who recognize baseball players as stringy instead of muscle bound!
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Still with the ugly scoreboard, Fred. Who's your decorator?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 The important thing is that dick jokes have not gone out of vogue since last fall. Thank goodness!

Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I'm impressed that the season was able to start on time despite the Civil War. I hope that welcoming the Cardinals across the border from the Confederate States of Trumpandia will be a moment of peace & unity among our nations.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Man, Mike Trout looks GREAT in blue and orange. I can't believe we got him in that big Harvey trade.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Geez, it's like McEwing didn't have all winter to make out this lineup.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 It was nice that they showed us the singing of the National Anthem here at Ivanka Trump Stadium.Later
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Ivanka nonsense ruins good Super Joe post, details at 11.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 By whose standard? The thread already talks of a Civil War.If any of us could predict the future, we wouldn't be posting here. We'd be in a casino winning a fortune. So, absurd it has to be. Like a Harvey for Trout trade.Later
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 No one's standard, if you don't get that Ivanka Stadium is a really weird, notion, I can't help you here.

I'll call it the Choo Choo Coleman Stadium.Later
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I apologize, just didn't get it. Still don't lol.#cpf2018

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Josh Donaldson batting cleanup. Kewl.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 If that's the Mets 4-5-6 on Opening Day, then we are f'd and being f'd.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I'd pencil in Conforto if I was making up a lineup right now.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Could very well be. I believe I like it.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 With Conforto himself downplaying Opening Day hopes less than a week ago, I think it's a smarter assumption that he'll be out.The lineup certainly matches up with the Cards a lot better with Conforto in the cleanup spot and Smitty knocked down to sixth.
