metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 the colors hurt my eyes. but otherwise i like it a lot. anyway we can have the same background color as the sky in the masthead - that's a pretty, mellow blue.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Changing the settings on my screen accomplishes nothing. And, more to the point, why would THIS place be the only website, forum, whatever I visit that is too wide for the screen?
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm having deja vu, didn't this happen before?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Not to me - at least I don't think so.

Guest Iubitul Guests Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 FK - what is your screen resolution set to?If it's set to 800 x 600, then the masthead and the phpbb logo at the top are what's causing it. they combine for 920 pixels across, which would make every page too wide for you.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Ok, so couple of questions ...What operating system and version are you using? What browser are you using and what version?OE: You first mentioned it during the day today, is it occurring on a 2ndcomputer now meaning that maybe you were on a work computer todayand now it's happening at home?

About a dozen were returned as undeliverable, butyours wasn't one of them. Your address of record is an aol account with yourfirst initial and your last name.Don't get me started on aol.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Thanks. Kid.If it didn't end up in my spam folder (haven't checked it lately) I'll probably get it next week.Later
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 EDC: >>>You're not buying the frosty FFFFCC?<<<Doesn't go, to my eyes. How is off-yellow frosty? Colors and contrasts aregrouped for a reason. It's one thing for an artist to have license and do whatthey want with color, but for a message board I just think it's better to be con-servative and not pick things that don't go with each other. The orange on the screen shot above is enough of a departure for me. I'mjust saying, it's not something I'm gonna go the mat over.http://www.dusek.ch/utilities/colors/FFFFCC
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Thanks to KC, Yancy, and anyone else that may have been involved in making this move possible. This new home just feels right and it is markedly faster than the forum had been of late. Hopefully, we will all still be happy with the move a year from now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Agreed on the colors. The greys work well and that's the best shade of orange.
Guest Iubitul Guests Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 The orange just doesn't seem to work for me. I would replace the orange trim with either black or Met Blue.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Iubitul wrote:I would replace the orange trim with either black or Met Blue. That wouldn't work. The color of the trim is also the color of the Author and Last Post columns on the page that lists the threads. If we went with black, those columns would be unreadable.
Guest Iubitul Guests Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Thanks Yancy. It's just surprising that they are both reading the same style.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Yeah, I also dig the new look a lot. Thanks for all the hard work.
