Melendez and Morabito were both in the lineup in Syracuse today, and they're the only other OFers on the 40. So whatever happens, it won't be tonight and they'll play down a guy.

Soto characterized the MRI results as showing a mild calf strain.  If that can safely be categorized a a Grade 1 calf strain, then the general recovery time is 2-3 weeks.  I would rather the Mets play it safe and just put him on the 10 Day IL, rather than rush things and potentially makes matters far worse.

how are players ever expected to find their groove or stay hot when they get jerked around like that?

I noted he did that several times last year ( especially with the young players) and it hasn’t changed.
