Brandon Glick Site Manager Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Even in a win. Even when the offense finally looks explosive. We still have to sweat an injury to Soto. Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I would imagine someone is on a flight to SF. Even a mild strain would result in an IL stint.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I saw something about 1-2 weeks as opposed to day to day
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 1-2 weeks would be a good thing I think whippoorwill 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Mets haven't posted a lineup yet, however much that may help you read the tea leaves.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Melendez and Morabito were both in the lineup in Syracuse today, and they're the only other OFers on the 40. So whatever happens, it won't be tonight and they'll play down a guy.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Soto characterized the MRI results as showing a mild calf strain. If that can safely be categorized a a Grade 1 calf strain, then the general recovery time is 2-3 weeks. I would rather the Mets play it safe and just put him on the 10 Day IL, rather than rush things and potentially makes matters far worse. whippoorwill 1
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Can bad hitting beat worse fielding? Tune in tonight for the answer!!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I tried to log in to MLB.tv at 3-0. I sent 20 minutes sending login codes to old e-mail addresses and my cell phone, and they scored five runs before I finally got in. Yay?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Benge staying in center after Taylor has entered the game is interesting. It may just be a concession of the 8-0 lead.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Giants sending a position player to the mound in the ninth. Silly new rule says that no ball/strike challenges are allowed with position players on the mound.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Pour it on. I feel like we get beat up a lot in SF. Nice to be on the other side.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Your final is 9-0. The Giants could have forfeited and gotten the same result.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I missed all of this one due to a late gig. I could have tuned in for the drive home but they were up big, late, so I just let Jesus take the wheel
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Only caught the end of this one as we were watching Steve Forbert in concert (he was great!) Happy for a Gay Dame today and curious to see who the Soto replacement will be.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Mets win a laugher. Good news on Soto. I don’t know how to process this.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Alvarez hit two homers in the last game and the manager couldn’t find a spot for him in the lineup? how are players ever expected to find their groove or stay hot when they get jerked around like that? I noted he did that several times last year ( especially with the young players) and it hasn’t changed. later
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Didn't see any of this, but wow nice box score
