Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Something I came across recently and seems like an enjoyable [CROSSOUT]CPF[/CROSSOUT] GCM/WPM quiz:Can you name the players who are (a) in the top 5 of a franchise’s all-time WAR leaderboard; and ( also played for the Mets at some point in their career?Example:Willie Mays is #1 on the Giants all-time WAR leaderboard. He also played a few games for the Mets.Note:-Franchises (not teams), so Pilots/Brewers, Senators vs. 1/Twins, etc. are a collective unit. No distinction for city moves either. Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Gary Carter, ExposI'm assuming that the actual Mets WAR leaders aren't part of this kwiz.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Willie Mays, Giants. Bold choice going with the guy already listed on the leaderboard as the example.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Filling in here a bit. Yes, as noted, this does not include the Mets’ own leaders. Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I'd guessed it already. Apparently, he's conineteenth on the Marlins list, which is surprisingly low.Roberto Alomar, GuardiansOops... Conine is sixteenth. I would have bet some serious Cranebucks that Mr. Marlin was at least top ten.
