  5. He pitched only twice against the Mets during Piazza’s years. 6/5/1998 https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BOS/BOS199806050.shtml Looks like Pedro plunked Mikey in his first at bat, Castillo replaced him, and hit a homer! 7/13/2000 https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BOS/BOS200007130.shtml Piazza goes 1-4

  7. Anyone in the Long Beach, NY area, I’m running a film fest, and catching glimpses of the Met game…when its on, at Bright Eye Beer on 50 W Park
  8. Apparently this is open, so they can keep the old McFadden’s space closed to the public again. Smaller area, and a brewery taproom with a kitchen, so I guess a cheaper space to operate.
  9. After pursing the Petco one, I saw an alarming lack of the spots around the neighborhood I hit up both last summer, and over a decade and a half ago (Mets and Comic Con) 🤷🏻‍♂️ Jimmy Buffett Land, while a blast, wouldn’t necessarily make the cut though ;)
  10. I was there last year! Could add a couple of great craft brewery hot spots walking distance from Petco. Also, if one wants to splurge at a tourist trap hotel, then you need to be…ehem…wastin’ away again in Margaritaville…;)
  11. Willets Point Brewery. Sadly not an actual operating brewery, just a “snazzy” marketing name like The K Korner in the old McFadden’s on the opposite end of Seaver They will have exclusive food offerings, and I’d imagine a bunch of the craft beers listed on the attached, I presume mostly the Montauks, available on the tap lines. Also according to all the foodie postings, its where you sign up for Citi’s version of the 9 dogs and 9 beers in 9 innings challenge. Like K Korner, probably safe to assume this is a team controlling gap measure until the major building projects (soccer stadium and its surrounding elements, as well as same with the casino) give the area enough of a business boom where they can allow stable, and competent third parties back into those spaces.
  12. Love to petition someone to get Nelson as a mic tribute up among the numbers there with Murph and Ralph
