Saw almost none of this game. Happy as a clam to be able to watch

Post Game Live on SNY in it's entirety.

After taking my happy pee, of course....

I know this is bad karma, but I enjoyed all the close-ups of disappointed Philadelphians.

This win is one of the best Mets playoff wins in history. Dominated by a Cy Young candidate. Then storming back to win. An instant classic.

It's the third best game this week.

What a great game.

This 2024 team is more enjoyable than a non-bent erection

Went down to Philadelphia to check this one out in person. Proud to now hold a personal 1.000 winning percentage in road playoff games. Some observations:

1. The Mets are totally in the heads of the Philadelphia fans. Some truly vicious comments directed at folks just for being there in Mets gear. You won the division by 6 games. Why so scared? It's even worse than little-brother syndrome.

2. The Mets probably are in the heads of the Phillies players too.

3. The emptying out of the stadium in the 8th was pretty embarrassing for the Phillies fans. It's a playoff game. And not an after-midnight-on-a-cold-Tuesday situation: it was a beautiful Saturday at…7 PM? Just sad.

I was at Shea, in the Upper Deck, for 1986 World Series Game 6 and the fans started pouring out after the Red Sox scored in the top of the tenth. I remember thinking that they were risking missing a fantastic comeback. And when that actually happened, I wondered (later) how they felt when they were in the parking lot and heart the stadium erupt.

I thought of that night when I saw all of the empty seats late in Game 1 yesterday. This was the first instance when I was glad that Phillies fans had no cause for remorse.

Well done. Were you blue and orange and did you absorb any abuse?

Mets hat and Alonso jersey. We were a group of 4 which helped. Also I keep score at (almost) every game I attend which the dumber folks tend not to know what to do with. Lots of “did you write that down” comments after a Mets K or the Schwarber homer. Whatever. We not-so-quietly discussed amongst our group how many empty seats there were in the 8th and how much we were looking forward to victory cheesesteaks.

The worst of the Philly fans got a warning from the usher—and then proceeded to heckle him. That prompted a visit from the supervisor and 3 uniformed officers for a sterner warning. Still the most unpleasant place to see a game I've ever been to, far exceeding anything in the Bronx, Wrigley, etc. Even Dodger Stadium is a distant #2.
