Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 We're getting those big outs when we need em
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Yeah hopefully they've seen enough for tonight of ol Trev Dogg. Still 9 outs left to get. Let's pad this fucker.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Love it. Strong at bats there by Davis & Lindor. Get that run right back. Show them how champions hit.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I feel like it's been 5 years since I watched the Mets win. This is nice.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I'm enjoying it. Are pitchers really allowed to wear a 0 as their number? That's daffy. At my house "dialing up channel zero" is code for getting your prostate checked. True story.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 First team ever? to go four straight years without the starter being touched?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 The 0-man has some nasty movement on those pitches. I like
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I'd hate to be behind 1B coach Wayne Kirby in the buffet line. There probably won't be anything left.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I like that Marte makes a small dry humping motion towards the plate just before each pitch is thrown. I do that at work too. But I'm sitting at a desk so no one can tell.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 If they were handling pitchers with kid gloves before, we're going to really see managers slow to stretch them this spring.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Diaz warming up with a four run lead. So, you know, there's that. Which historically has not been his best entrance scenario.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Yah I don't like it. Don't go in high and tight on the Piss Missile. I wanna see Edwin put some Nat on his keester when he's out there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Edwin doesn't want to make this inning even a little bit interesting, at least not if he wants some peace and quiet this year.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 We don't need this clown to thriw30 pitches here

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 It was delayed a week, and then three more hours, and then another hour and a half on top of that ... but in the end it was worth it.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 7:05, friends.https://twitter.com/anthonydicomo/status/1511835431674986499This really didn't suit me! 4pm is 9pm and i'd planned to have dinner finished by then, tidy up and retire to watching opening day. Instead I tried to watch a few minutes at midnight - but the delay of 1 hour 20 mins put it to after 1am. I was well zzzz by then.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Solid game all around. Megilla has gotten himself on Buck's good side early. It's clear that the Nats are going to suck this year. They've got some pieces, but also too many misfit toys and placeholders.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I think they clocked 4 pitches at 99. The gun was regularly at 97
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I didn't get to watch this, but after last season's defensive woes it is uplifting to see that 8 of the 9 batters in the starting lineup had at least one hit and that five different batters had an RBI.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Just one game, but a lot to like. 12 hits and 5 runs on no HR is nice. 2 two out RBIs. The lone opposition run was a solo shot.https://i.redd.it/lv6eh5586p961.gif>

I think Buck would embrace a chance to demonstrate this group can fight, after so many well behaved and dull Mets squads never bothered
