  1. That's one. Later
  2. Brandon pitched well again: 5.0IP 3H 0R 0ER 3BB 9K His ERA is now 4.07 and his record is 6-5. Later
  3. It will be an upgrade defensively at two positions. Mullins is a proven centerfielder and McNeil isn't, and McNeil is better than Baty at second. Baseball lore says that in order to win you have to be strong up the middle, and IMO this makes them a better defensive team and maybe a little better offensively. Later
  4. Ditto Later
  5. I've changed my mind. Pre season, I looked at the roster and thought they'd lose a lot of 5-4 games. Now, I look at the roster and think they'll lose a lot of 4-3 games. Later
  6. Unless there is a completed deal yet to be announced, Vientos, Mauricio, Acuna and Baty are still on the team. I'm not sure whether that is a good thing or bad thing. Later
  7. I'm guessing that's not because the Mets scared them in that last series. Later
  8. Yes, we do Kwan isn't a centerfielder. If they get him, which corner outfielder would he replace? Good player, no Mets fit. Later
  9. He would have been an upgrade in center. Later
  10. How close to that have you heard they are? OE: missed that other post. Real close, as in he's here. Later
  11. They do? Adrian Beltre was holding down third base there for a number of years. It was a dig at Edgar Martinez - I hate the DH. Later
  12. If he carbo loaded, it looks like he put that all behind him. Sounds like a cool guy. That personality would have been fun to have around. Later
  13. So did a friend of mine who had Kelenic on his strat team. We haven't let him forget it. Later
  14. Seattle has a thing for third basemen who can hit but not field. Later
  15. Not sure about Laureano. Lowe, might be a better fit. (lefty hitter). I've seen many stories linking the Mets to Oriole's CF Cedric Mullins, who also bats lefty. Later
  16. With tonight's win, my kid is 5-3 with an ERA under 2.50. Later
  17. This really must have been last minute. Baez was in the game , had walked, and was pulled for a pinch runner. Later
  18. I remember how I thought he should have been a starter. But he was kept in relief. I wonder if he'll be given the chance to start. Later
  19. The Mets are sending infield prospect Jesus Baez and two pitching prospects, Nate Dohm and Frank Elissalt, to St. Louis to complete the deal. All three played A level ball this year, splitting time between Brooklyn and St Lucie. Baez has been in the organization for about three years and the two pitchers were drafted in 2024. Baez has been a sub .250 hitter for most of his minor league career, while the two pitchers have decent K/IP totals. Later
  20. The Phillies are acquiring Jhoan Duran from the Twins for Eduardo Tait and Mick Abel, per multiple reports. Later
  21. Are we sure we got the right twin? Later
  22. Can Tyler Rogers hit? (grasping at straws here) Later
  23. This is moving toward Red Light Forum territory. Later
  24. 53 G, 50 IP Those are the kinds of numbers we used to associate (before the rule changes)with a LOOGY. He really must be a specialist. Later
  25. He "had it". He just has been injured often, so never had much of a chance to show it. Later
