1960 I was at one of those two All Star games, and I wasn't hallucinating. 6-0 NL. Vern Law was the winning pitcher, Whitey Ford the loser. All the legitimate All-Stars were in it. And many of the players were multi-timers, It was as real to me as it was to any other 17 year old in the stands. It was a thrill to see them all, including some we never got to see too much (before interleague play and nationally televised games on cable).
