Syracuse is currently laying an egg in their home opener, down 0-5 in the third. There's still time... Later

There have been many successful relievers whose primary out pitch was a changeup, from Stu Miller to Eric Gagne to John Franco. Yes, we'd love to see our closer blow them away with a blazing fastball. But an out is an out. I'm not putting Williams in their league, but as long as he is successful, we'll be happy. Later

There are two catching Contreri and the one no longer there is the one who is a real pain in the tuchus against the Mets (slipping comfortably into the Yaddy F'n Molina roster spot). Glad they won't be seeing him in this series. Later

If this is anything like last year, that will be until a player gets hot for a few games. Then, the manager will replace him. Later

And where will the minor league coverage be? Later

Speaking of the second game, the Syracuse Mets play their second game today (they won the opener). I just checked. Their scheduled starter is TBA!! GAAAAAAAA! It's the second freaking game of the season. How can they not know??? They had all of spring training to set up the rotation. They did that same crap all last year, and it is irritating. Strongly worded letter to follow. Later OE: I checked at 3:52PM. The starter will be J. Suarez.

A righty hitter with occasional power? Can't see why he won't be needed with the big club at some point this year. Later

And nowhere are you more useful to us than in that great job you do with the rosters. Later

I’m voting for the same result for the same reasons. Add in the fact that the manager still hasn’t proven to me that he can manage ( a pitching staff) and the 85 win ceiling is looking good. later

Oh well. As you can see from the prospects forum, I follow the minor leaguers pretty closely. I guess I'll just have to add comments where appropriate going forward. Later

I voted. I wish you could make this accessible to the writer. I post while working, and can't do a lot at one time. I'd like to be able to go back and make additions/changes until it is final. Can you do that? (Yes I read your post, but it doesn't hurt to ask) Later

Nick Morabito will play at least 5 games in center field for the Mets this year. Later

Still trying to figure out how to post a you tube video. I tried inserting the URL in the tool box you provide and got the result you see in one of the season opening roster threads (I forget which one). What did I do wrong? Later

I saw a blurb about a "futures game" to be played among the Mets rookies this week, but haven't seen anything else about it. If you have any additional details, let us know. Later
