  1. It may be by number of innings pitched, They didn't elaborate. Later
  2. I heard that Jacob DeGrom is the fastest pitcher to 1,800 Ks in MLB history. Later
  3. I just looked up what Syracuse is known for, and the best name for a baseball team I can think of is the Salt Miners. https://heyexplorer.com/what-is-syracuse-known-and-famous-for/ Later
  4. The Mets have called up P Dom Hammel and sent down Austin Warren. Hammel has been a starting pitcher, but in recent outings he has started, but only pitched a few innings. It looks like they are grooming him to work out of the bullpen. Welcome, Dom. Later
  5. Unless your masochism tolerance is very high, that sounds like the right choice. Later
  6. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Mets are designating relief pitcher Rico Garcia for assignment. No corresponding move has been announced. Later
  7. I hope you get to see the game. You certainly earned it. Later
  8. Just read that Carson has had at least one hit in every game since July 10. Later
  9. That's one. Later
  10. Brandon pitched well again: 5.0IP 3H 0R 0ER 3BB 9K His ERA is now 4.07 and his record is 6-5. Later
  11. It will be an upgrade defensively at two positions. Mullins is a proven centerfielder and McNeil isn't, and McNeil is better than Baty at second. Baseball lore says that in order to win you have to be strong up the middle, and IMO this makes them a better defensive team and maybe a little better offensively. Later
  12. Ditto Later
  13. I've changed my mind. Pre season, I looked at the roster and thought they'd lose a lot of 5-4 games. Now, I look at the roster and think they'll lose a lot of 4-3 games. Later
  14. Unless there is a completed deal yet to be announced, Vientos, Mauricio, Acuna and Baty are still on the team. I'm not sure whether that is a good thing or bad thing. Later
  15. I'm guessing that's not because the Mets scared them in that last series. Later
  16. Yes, we do Kwan isn't a centerfielder. If they get him, which corner outfielder would he replace? Good player, no Mets fit. Later
  17. He would have been an upgrade in center. Later
  18. How close to that have you heard they are? OE: missed that other post. Real close, as in he's here. Later
  19. They do? Adrian Beltre was holding down third base there for a number of years. It was a dig at Edgar Martinez - I hate the DH. Later
  20. If he carbo loaded, it looks like he put that all behind him. Sounds like a cool guy. That personality would have been fun to have around. Later
  21. So did a friend of mine who had Kelenic on his strat team. We haven't let him forget it. Later
  22. Seattle has a thing for third basemen who can hit but not field. Later
  23. Not sure about Laureano. Lowe, might be a better fit. (lefty hitter). I've seen many stories linking the Mets to Oriole's CF Cedric Mullins, who also bats lefty. Later
  24. With tonight's win, my kid is 5-3 with an ERA under 2.50. Later
  25. This really must have been last minute. Baez was in the game , had walked, and was pulled for a pinch runner. Later
