    That may have been true with the other players you mentioned, but I'm not sure that would have been true with Mclean. I read an article a few weeks ago about how he has changed his pitch mix this year. He has four pitches, but it wasn't until he developed command of the sweeper that he was ready for the majors. That has become his most effective "out" pitch, he now throws it (IIRC) 40 % of the time and it has made his other pitches more effective. If they had brought him up earlier, I'm not sure if he would be pitching like we've seen. Later

    IMO, MLB will have a tough decision on that from a standpoint of merchandising revenue. Will the newly named merchandise catch on and produce repetitive sales, or will the buying be a one year fad? Will rebranding a team turn off the fans of the existing city? Will the lure of buying the new stuff span beyond the team city? Will a Chevy Cubs logo turn off Ford drivers? I'm sure MLB has market research companies compiling and digging through the data to figure all that out. Later

    Barnes is essentially another Torrens (career OPS+ of 80 vs Torrens' 79). But he is better than Senger's under 20.(limited sample size). Depending on how long Alvarez will be out, why not bring up Parada? He was a #1 pick in 2022, and at least has some power (9 HR this year, 13 last year at AA). Let's see what he can do. Later

    Believe it or not, it seems they're giving the minor leaguers a little more rope. IIRC, Sproat and Tong have has pitch counts into the 90s this year. Later

    I didn't see anything other than East / West that makes me think they will be broken into eight 4 team divisions. If he wants to keep some of the "old feel", why not 4 eight team divisions(2 East, 2 West)? It would bring back some of the old school feel, when there were 8 team leagues. Later
