1. Ambitious young jazz drummer meets hardass teacher. Musical hijinks ensue.
2. I was told this was very good and intend to see it
3. Nice outfield upper-deck restaurant area but it faces directly into the setting sun before gametime and nearly blinded me. Looks much better from behind the play (trees, rocks etc). Coupla decent beer-before-the-game joints in the surrounding neighborhood.
4. So we watched this last night. Lunchpail lollled a lot. So did I. Wifey you could tell wanted to hate it but was won over by the charm of the characters. Very predictable flick but nonetheless I was stunned what happened to Jynnky. The best part deliberating the band name. Was dying
5. The Edgy Seal of Approval is a big selling point. She won't consent to a movie recommended by me but by you, totally
6. Edgy MD wrote: No Mets on tonight? What a good night to take in a viewing of Heavy Trip. Wifey is resisting a viewing so far. Maybe this weekend. EDIT ... Is it "too heavy" for a 13 year old?
7. cigars. love this kid already. 13, high socks, glasses, submarine
8. All the pundits picked them for last place but Lunchladies +18.5 pts in last 30 days and riding in 2nd. Looks like at least part of my advantage is that I'm getting more games in than anyone else, I have 5 OFs going every night and often have an outfielder as a utility man going. Are the other clubs purposefully trying to pace themselves so as not to blow past maxes? Or do they not have my awesome depth? I have no idea how to handle success
9. Why don't you start some too. You're also supposed to vote
10. Out-of-work would-be wise-guy cousins pull a caper, hijinx ensue. I never saw this movie till last week but turns out I'd known it's most famous line for 30 years. Lots of good NYC footage including inescapable twin-towers and lots of Summer Wind. Well, was it good?
11. Ochoseis gives serious tour advice. We totally destroyed Montreal with his help, Fairmont bagels, yum.
12. It was a funny movie, what I like about the Marvel stuff is they get the fun factor right, all the visual thunder was cool but it could have done with less afaic.
13. Spider Gwen was pretty hot
14. So how does this work? Do all the active guys on my roster play all the time or do I need to choose who does what?
15. I completely won this draft and you guys know it. Taking Rosario when Cano was still on the board was a mistake, I admit it, but I got 13 Mets and honorary Met Wilmer Flores
16. "We're Queen! We're not bound by your so-called rules of rock-n-roll!!!" Oh stfu, Queen.
17. The other thing I realized was the warehouse you see over the left field fence on TV is something of an illusion as it's part of the structure itself, or I guess an existing building they incorporated into the construction. That building is where the ticket windows and team shop are and all part of the block the park occupies.
18. Never seen a game there but I've been living across the street from it for 3 days. Good amount of homeless guys around the park. Can get a tour but there's new sod on the field so you can't get on it. There is also construction work on three sides of it right now as they prep for the season. The Padres have had so many unis over the years their apparel shop is like a mall with the orange and brown, yellow and brown, blue and orange, sand, blue and white, blue and grey. It was loaded with fresh Machado stuff and guys were buying it. Of course they are said to be returning to brown next season. Brad Hand and Corey Spangenberg shirseys on the discount rack. Some cool stuff on the plaza outside including big paintings of Hoffman, Gwynn, Winfield and Randy Jones and a Padre Hall of Fame plaque collection- one plaque for every HOFer to ass thru including Piazza, thoughtful but kinda funny. More is better. I got a kick out of Randy Jones who was so 70s with his perm and his brown uni. 19. we talked about this in the other room http://www.thecranepool.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=27479http://www.thecranepool.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=27479 I just wanted to say I finally saw it, and it sucked
20. This is sorta my fantasy too
21. In conclusion, our 2 person review panel recommends you watch this for yourself and make your own call.
22. I get it. Do you see it all that different from say, Waiting for Guffman or Best In Show?
23. To the extent it was boring the mundane-ness of it I think, was all part of the joke. Not saying it was substantial or deep, but I laughed at the idea and at the hammy acting. It was fun.
24. I felt Bird Box was the stupidest movie I'd seen in a long time
