Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Whoa. Wagner in for the 6-out save.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Wagner is the 11th pitcher in the game.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 2 innings from Wags, huh?I like how they are playing this like theres no tomorrow. He's rested.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Wow, it's Wagner in the 8th!Hopefully he gets the middle of the order here, then we can get some more runs and use someone else for the 9th
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Green made 2 outs that inning.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Good move by Willie. Get the fucking outs, Billy. Win this fucking game.

soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 They should just trade for Burrel so he doesn't play against them.10-9 Mets.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 with the heart of the order due up Wagner is the right move, even if he's only in there for 1 inning, theres no reason to save him for the 9th if the the big hitters are coming up in the 8th. good move willie.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Pat Burrell makes me want to be friends with Chipper.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 OMG!How could Wags pitch it right to his bat like that?Burrell, the guy I hate.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 You know what, Billy Wagner? Get the fuck off this team. "Uh, I can't pitch if it's not a save situation." "I can't get six outs."Take off the skirt and GET THESE FUCKING GUYS OUT, DAMMIT.Nice K of Howard.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 i think he overtook Jones for most HRs against the Mets. still a 1-run lead.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Unless the Mets score four runs in the top of the ninth, there's no way Wagner doesn't go out there for the bottom of the ninth, even if it's three pitchers due up in the ninth. He's getting paid too much to give a save chance to someone else.(Interesting; Gary's just now raising the possibility that he might not come back out there for the 9th.)

soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 You know - if we all weren't all stressed out about not getting swept and could look at this game in and of itself - it's a pretty damn good, exciting game.I now return you to your regular programming...
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Can we trade for Burrell and then shoot him in the leg?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 ]Unless the Mets score four runs in the top of the ninth ...Well that's kinda what I'm hoping for. If for no other reason as to not burn him out before the Atlanta series even begins. Not helping that it's going to take him at least 5 batters just to get through the 9th
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Billy, THROW. A. FUCKING. STRIKE.

One of the best this season thus far.
