Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Started my four-and-a-half day weekend at noon today ... maybe I'll go back to the office and make people miserable the rest of the afternoon.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 A hard hit ball. And it's off a Met bat! Cool!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 This is what I was afraid of (but afraid to talk about) -- that after losing several low-scoring games you're bound to run into one of those days when your starting pitcher doesn't have it ... and then you're really cooked.Meanwhile up the turnpike ... the BoSox are continuing their experiment of not getting any hits for the first half of the game and then seeing if they can stay in it. That it didn't work yesterday doesn't seem to concern them.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 It would be really exacerbating if they can get Wright to 3rd before stranding him there.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Kyle Lohse? Jamie Moyer? What the hell!?
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I want Alou and Milledge hitting here.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Just as I'm starting to feel a tiny bit better I see Sele warming.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Another one of them hits with runners on base would be really nice right now.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Gameday say dubble, Barney Rubble.Your moment, Ruben.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 (edited) He's probably not brazen enough to watch MLB.TV at work. Edited August 30, 2007 by Guest

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Another run is good. Still would be nice to get another hit this inning.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 metirish wrote:Pulling Hernandez in the fourth?,he's got nothing huh...Uh, he allowed five runs in three innings, including three HR's. The Phillies were crushing the ball off of him. I see no reason to keep him in the game. Especially when the Mets actually have a rally going for once and could use a pinch-hitter.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Who is up for the Mets? Will Thrilledge or Green stay in the game?
