2027 Schedule

Notable:

-4 trips to California, but again all of them occurring before the All-Star break.  Two ten-day road trips:  MIL-SD-MIN in May; STL-ARZ-LAD in late June/early July.

-Nimmo returns Friday, April 23 when Texas visits.

-7 games against the Dodgers between July 1-11.

In 2022, the first week of games had to be moved - some to the end of the season, some dispersed throughout.

Premature.

As if discussion of road trips and home stands of a sportsball team you follow a little more than half a year out was any more, or less pointless than other posts around any discussion group of internet strangers

FWIW, still chuckle when I see a decades long running (mid-1990s) pro-wrestling (there is a point) hall of fame created by the operator of a longer running pro-wrestling newsletter (since…I think early 1980s and legit news, not promotional storylines (I mean more like why the storyline is happening, and what probably is the outcome of it backstage (ie winner of the big match will have a title match in a few months))) and website consistently get praised as the “One True Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame” despite no physical address, or physical thing handed to inductees, or an actual ceremony.

Essentially praised because of his industry connections have kept fellow legit pro-wrestling journalists, people who have worked in the industry, subscribers to his newsletter as part of the voting base, and similar rules to the BBWAA voting for the baseball Hall (including how long until someone first goes on the ballot, and how long they stay on for without an induction)

Well, that actually did inspire my attempt at a Mets HOF in the mid/late aughts, and I did have connections to highfalutin Met internet personalities (Influencers years before that was a term) at the time, with potential off line (I know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows another guy) connections as well.

Anyway, that WHOLE PROJECT got scrapped when Mags went off the rails here, well on where the CPF was back then, with treatises on all the various “who are the voters,” “”who is watching the watchers,” “why should anyone actually care about this endeavor,” “is anyone working this with you,” etc  

He did have some legit points about though, hence why I thought it was a bit too ambitious to complete the launch

So that does make me amused when I think of that “esteemed” online only pro-wrestling hall still plugging away, as well as various other “our hall of fames” that I see blogs, vlogs, podcasts, etc for any team or whatnot that pop up every now and then.

There was a Reds Listserv (old school email list) Hall who I swiped all the language from

But the Wrestling Observer Hall really did help get my ambitiousness going with a wider, just at the start of social media apps being a thing at the time, scope of it all.
