Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 So, I missed a few innings there. Has there been a report about Marte?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Two runs down is doable.Four seemed like it wasn't.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 That was Danielle again after the HR.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 Hopefully Pete takes that defensive play to the plate this inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 The dead stadium ain't gonna help much.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 Tim Foli selling peanuts.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 Nimmo's second time overthrowing the cutter-offer this evening.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 Michael Chavis is listed at 5'10" but he looks shorter.Funny that he's a first and Godzilla is over there at short.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 Nimmo breaks late on the flare and the Pirates are running away.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) And now it's four again, which certainly looks undoable.Met bats have been blanked in 25 of their last 28 innings - against two of the four worst pitching staffs in the NL. Edited September 6, 2022 by Guest
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Marte got hit in the hand and came out, as per Howie. I missed the first half of this game but it looks like a big ol monkey fuck to me
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Jason Delay has as many hits as Lindor, McNeil, Alonso and Vogelbach COMBINED.

DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 JD Davis has an OPS over 900 since being traded to SF. I'd rather we had acquired a BP arm for him, but boy we could use some of that offense these days.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Braves game is five pitches in and they already have two hits.It took us, what, six innings to get that many tonight? How many runs will Atlanta have before our game ends?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 Nimmo's homerun was lovely, but he may be the brokest guy in the lineup right now.Swinging at the first pitch in the ninth, down six, after the previous two guys walked. What insanity is that?

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 The Mets appear to shot their load making a statement against the Dodgers. The offense apparently wore itself out in that series and has nothing left for the "weaker" teams. The A' are putting up more a fight on the Mets behalf than are the Mets. The Braves lead 6-5 going to the home half (A's) of the 4th.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Braves win, and it's now a flat-footed tie for first. This has a September 1969 Cubs feeling to it.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 I regret nothing. Fangraphs playoff odds have Mets at 100% chance of making the postseason. For that to not happen requires something far different than what we've seen here (a minor stumble).Mets are on pace for 100+ wins, which would be the second best season in team history.Maybe it'll take longer than we'd like but I still think the Mets hold off Atlanta by virtue of the weaker schedule.

From here, the Mets are going to run away with the division, sweep Atlanta in the playoffs for the pennant, and win the World Series in five, same as 1969.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 There's another game today at 12:35. I'm kind of prohibited from starting the IGT, but if anyone wants to jump in, I'd be obliged to you.
