Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 We know MFS hates the Dodgers. We know few people think about the Rays often enough to hate them. What do you think?[FIMG=750]https://a4.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2020%2F1018%2Fmlb_ws_preview3_1296x729.jpg[/FIMG]
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 I had pre-decided to pull for the Rays against either NL winner, or for either NL winner if it were against the Astros
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 I know the Mets won that series anyway, AND Utley is no longer on the team, but...not gonna root for LA. Go Rays.

metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 all-in on the rays, but i'm ok with the dodgers. i like to see teams break free of 'choker' labels. unless those teams are the braves. then i like to see more and more shoved down their throats.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Fuck Lasorda, Magic Johnson, that coach with that 20-letter name, that radar guyin the hat, Buttley, Steve Garvey and of course Kirk Gibson... I could go on...I didn't know Billie Jean King owned a piece of the Dodgers, or if I did I've forgotten.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I really could not care less. But I voted for LA. At the end of the day, I'm an NL guy...even in this bastardized season of 2020.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I'm totally indifferent. I'm looking ahead to the Steve Cohen confirmation, Election Day, results of the COVID vaccine trials, and, oh yeah, the Tabloid Cover Derby.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I love Kerhshaw and Betts. Gentlemen and superstars. I'm all the way pulling for em.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 The Rays knocked off the two most hated teams in baseball back to back and belly to belly. That alone earns them a ring. Go Myliobatiformes!

The 2020 season, much like the calendar year, can suck a fart out of my Jewish poopwagon.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 I think I saw an ad in my local Pennysaver for a used Jewish Poopwagon. It had 95,000 miles and was selling for $11,000. Is that a good deal? I'll have to check the Blue Book.

Last night, I watched about a half an inning of Game #1 of the World Series. It was the first live post-season action I saw all season. If I had to root for something, it would be for Kershaw to go 3-0 in the series like Mickey Lolich did in '68 to shut up his critics. But I know so little about the post-season, I still don't know if that's possible, and still have no idea what kind of a game Kershaw pitched last night, or even what the final score was.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2020 Author Posted October 21, 2020 Izzy the Jewish Poopwagon was my favorite off-brand knockoff of Herbie the Lovebug.Fun Fact: Though they were box office rivals, Izzy and Herbie were really close offscreen, even taking their families on vacation together.
