DeGrom. Scherzer. Probably. It's only 179 days away.

And now it's only 70 days away.

I think Frazier should ride pine against Scherzer and we should get scrappy McNeil a start here. Go w/ Lagares or Broxton for D.

What say you?

Nimmo - RF (L)

Lowrie - 3B (S)

Cano - 2B (L)

Conforto - LF (L)

Ramos - C ®

McNeil - 1B (L)

Lagares - CF ®

deGrom - P (L)

Rosario - SS ®

That's not bad. But I read this morning that Mickey says he intends to lock McNeil in between Nimmo and Cano.

Which is weird, to think that he has no position, but allegedly has a spot in the batting order locked down.

That sounds like Mickey.

Because other managers see three lefties in a row and think to themselves “that's crazy. How the hell do I matchup against that?”

Going to miss the entire game due to work - doing a training the entire week of March 25-29 and won't be able to work from home and watch, or listen in real time. I can't watch the replay, either, as I play darts on Thursday nights. Bummed.

Guessing McNeil will get the OD start at third. Still undetermined if the Mets will keep both Dom and Pete, but an argument can be made for either to start. Maybe even give the nod to Dom against the tough righty. And while I'm at it, Broxton > Lagares already. Something like this?

Nimmo - RF (L)

McNeil - 3B (L)

Cano - 2B (L)

Conforto - LF (L)

Ramos - C ®

Dom?? - 1B (L)

Broxton - CF ®

deGrom - P (L)

Rosario - SS ®

Michael Taylor will be out for an extended period after busting up both his knee and hip in spring training. Howie Kendrick is hurt, too, and Bryce Harper is expected to be unavailable for 13 years.

Maybe Austin Jackson is going to get a call after all.

We're going to be looking at something akin to:

  1. Adam Eaton, rf

  2. Trea Turner, ss

  3. Anthony Rendon, 3b

  4. Juan Soto, lf

  5. Brian Dozier, 2b

  6. Ryan Zimmerman, 1b

  7. Yan Gomes, c

  8. Max Scherzer, sp

  9. Victor Robles, cf

My all week work obligation ended early, so after a 1 PM meeting, I will be able to listen to the remainder online while at work, if it's not too busy.

You know, I haven't been a big supporter of the Robinson Canó trade. But I suddenly realize that his name looks a lot better penciled in at second on opening day than that of, say, Brad Emaus.

So, you're saying you'd be cool if I gave Lagares a call?

Wow! All I can say is Wow! Centerfield, are you going to take that?

So close. I just got Zimmerman and Dozier flip-flopped.

I don't think he's done a ball game yet.

Besides, I think he's up in Grand Rapids, visiting 41 and throwing one of his authoritarian clambakes.

He can't appear anywhere unless it's in front of his rally crowd. He'd never get over the shame of having 35,000 New Yorkers boo him in his hometown.
