Well, we're on again this year.

11 Tuesday games (out of 12, we're skipping the early April Twins game) including the MFYs in July (worst and most expensive seats in the set).

The Lunch family also plotting a late June visit... to Wrigley this time.

I know I suck for spending $$ on the Mets but I just did.

What are your plans for showing up at [CROSSOUT]Shea[/CROSSOUT] chitty?

With the move from Queens to Dirty Jerzy id be shocked if i make it to more than 1 game this year. The over/under is probably at 1/2 a game

I want to see the Mets make some meaningful moves before I consider heading to CitiField in 2019. Too far and too expensive, if the Mets are going to make a serious effort to be legitimate contenders to win the division.

You've got a lot of heart. If I recall, you took in a lot of blue Tuesdays last year.

Checking the record, though, it looks like they were close to .500 on Tuesdays.

You also got a 12-2 Syndergaard blowout, a Wilmer Walkoff, and that 10-strikeout, 8-inning deGrom clinic in September against the Braves when he finally broke through for a win.

A single matinee, like we do most years, on a weekday during the summer. Probably the whole Fman gang, as we did in 2018. Early candidates are Thursday July 25th, 12:10 vs SD or Wed Aug 7th 12:10 vs MIA. We often sync up and sit with Kong and/or Metfairy on those trips. One and done.

Kiddie camp commitments and uncertain work schedule make this... tricky. Maybe 2 or 3 games of indeterminate type.

Looking like a super quick stop-over in late June, but shooting to double my money with the Friday, June 29 / Saturday June 30 back-to-back v. Atlanta. If anyone else might be in da house...

Turns out that June weekend is the 86 Anniversary celebration. Good lawd, decent seats are pricey! Is that some kinda gold-tipped, platinum tier weekend or am I just as cheap-assed as the ownership?

I'm sorta shocked that the cheapass #lol Wilpons are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Mets, being that there was a 40th anniversary celebration. This must be a total financial calculation, with the Pons counting on some sellouts. Can't be sentimental based.

Only made it to one game last year. I'll make at least that maybe one or two more depending on how they're doing/getting someone to go with me/my mood that day.

Taking (not so)little DGW July 7th. May visit her Easter Sunday in MD and catch a game at Camden Yards, and thinking about catching a game with her in Toronto in September...

Looks like a very real possibility that I'll be in town with nothing to do on April 9. Is that part of your Tuesday plan? Does anyone have an extra ticket? (If not, they're running a $5 special right now.)

(edit: You say you're skipping that game in your original post.)

I'd like to take in a Tues game sometime during the summer with the bucketclub;

preferably one with a Bernie Sanders appearance haha. Keep me in mind!

At a star-studded gala, the Tuesday Night Mets Club presented JD Davis with the honor of being named the Tuesday Night Mets MVP, while Zack Wheeler coasted to the Tuesday Night Cy Young award.

Davis strafed the Mets Tuesday Night home opponents for a .542 batting average, 2 home runs and 6 RBI. His highlights included a dramatic opposite field 3-run Homer off Wander Suero of the Nationals May 21 keying an unforgettable come-from-behind-then-blow-then-walkoff 6-5 victory.

Davis narrowly defeated teammate Wilson Ramos for Tuesday Terrific news. The portly catcher also smashed two Tuesday Taters and drove in 6 runs while hitting .310.

Pete Alonso also drew some votes for delivering 4 round trippers including his Met-record tying 41st, and 7 RBIs on Tuesdays, although his batting average was just .166.

Finally generating some votes was Robinson Cano, who turned in the Mets' best single-game Tuesday Night of the year with 3 bombs and 5 RBI vs San Diego July 23.

The Tuesday Night Mets Pitcher of the Year was Zach Wheeler, who went 3-0 with 2 no-decisions in 5 Tuesday Night home starts. The Mets won all the TN games he started.

Wheeler on Tuesdays fired 35.1 innings, striking out 37, and posted a 1.52 ERA. His highlights included scoreless outings over Philly and Miami, and whiffing 8 MFYs in 6.1 innings July 2.

The 2019 Tuesday Night Mets are noted for their remarkable 9-2 record, excluding the first home Tuesday of the year, for which the Club did not purchase tickets. That is by far the best Tuesday Night record in the 4 year history of the gathering.

Both players are rumored to be immortalized on Typewriter Chewing Gum special inserts.

I dunno. This Alonso feller, alone, is gonna be keeping me busy with the insets and extras all the way up until pitchers and catchers report next Spring.

Ah, what the hell? If I'm gonna be working on these cards for a coupl'a more months, at least, what's two more cards? Plus, now I've got the I Give Up thread all to myself.

Tuesday Night Mets Club also needs to a award a bullpenner and a benchie.

Frazier also has to get some Tuesday love for his grand slam in his second game of the season.

They do but we have to revisit the scorebook.

Already the quants are complaining that Wheeler got jobbed for the MVP, as we overlooked a Tuesday Night Home Run in addition to his Tuesday Mound dominance
