    His B-R page says he's never even played an inning at first base. How about we find an actual first baseman this offseason? You know, let's try something novel that oh, I don't know, EVERY OTHER MAJOR LEAGUE TEAM DOES.

    Batty's back! Huskey was one of those guys who I was SUPER excited about coming up in the early 90s. He was actually very good here.

    Why on earth would you still be giving Robert Stock innings when you have Myers and Tong in AAA? Both on the 40, both way more valuable to this team in 2027 than Stock will be. It's even Myers' start day; he's pitching tonight! (Tong starts Sunday.)

    Agree with Edgy here. I think they need all three of those guys to be playing every day. (Why they don't bring up Clifford over Polanco is a larger question, but I guess they're hoping Polanco will wake up at some point.)

    I came in here to check what that was, half-watching on GameCast in my office. Felt weird to bunt with one out and first and third, so I assumed it was a failed squeeze.

    95. It's a game. I love it. But at the same time, if you're focused more on the celebration than on fielding your position, you're opening yourself up for weird things to happen, especially in tight spots. Celebrate a second too early and you're missing, say, covering the plate on a passed ball or something.

    Poor Tauchman. He went from "probable starting outfielder" a week before opening day to "13 for 61 with one RBI in the minors and released."

    I had very low expectations. I honestly thought it was a very risky signing, expecting him to move seamlessly in to a key spot in the rotation after being a short man. But he was really excellent here.

    I mean, sometimes guys fall off the cliff. It happens. Nobody's an ace forever. You hate to see it, because Freddy seems to be a very good dude, but you just don't know.

    And that doesn't even factor in fan sentiment. There are probably still more ALONSO 20 shirts in the park on any given day than there ever will be BICHETTE 19 ones.

    I am super excited for this guy. He's nuts. The others are Nate Lavender, making his MLB debut; Dedniel Nunez, back from injury; McDermott, who was the Rortvedt trade; and Christian Pache, into the Tyrone Taylor Memorial Fifth Outfielder Roster Spot.
