I think you have to sell this team for parts at this point. The only folks who care about having around next year are Lindor, Soto, McLean, Scott, Myers, Ewing, Benge, and I still love Alvy. That's eight guys, which is sad.
I picked a random bad Mets team in the past - 2018 - and I found more than twice as many guys who I was legitimately excited about at the time (Wilmer, Conforto, Nimmo, Dom, McNeil, Rosario, Guillorme, Lagares, deGrom, Wheeler, Matz, Harvey, Lugo, Noah, Robles, and maybe Cespedes, and that's not even including old Jose Reyes and retiring David Wright). How do you fuck up a $380M payroll this badly?
