  1. Ah, hell, now I have to think of one. Hang on.
  2. I remember the old Sports Illustrated ad with Doc, in mid-windup, aiming right at the camera, with the text "This is what it's like looking down the barrel of a gun." (Or something to that effect.) When he was on, there was just nothing not to love about the guy. It was hard to watch him decline.
  3. Those would all be members of the Topps Rookie All-Star Team.
  4. Valadius! Stop trying to get "future ace" minor league pitchers from other teams. It's not happening.
  5. Which is exactly why the D'Backs have very little reason to give him up. I can't get excited over a pitchers' hitting stats; you're talking about such a small sample size. I know Owings has certainly shown you something in his limited time, but to quote the Mad Dog, "let's not get crazy here, huh?"
  6. ="metirish"]I don't know about this gay, it's like he has to start over again except it's worse than that. http://arod.mlb.com/players/rodriguez_alex/article.jsp?story=111407 I know that's a typo, but it's a funny typo. A-Rod is a loser and I don't want him on my team. There, I said it. Go to hell, Yankees, and take Alex Rodriguez with you.
  7. I thought this was going to be another Julio Franco joke.
  8. No thanks.
  9. Or perhaps Al "Bud" Weis-er?
  10. Okay, then, Ed Charles.
  11. The error-maker didn't go 1 for 10, Boswell did. Taylor relieved in the 24th inning and threw an attempted sac bunt into right field, allowing the winning run to score.
  12. 1968, eh? I'll guess a pitcher. Ron Taylor.
  13. Obscure. Nice work.
  14. (Somebody) Twothorne Young Doc Man Brown? I feel like I'm right there, but yet I'm not close at all.
  15. And unless it's some sort of "Back To The Future" thing with Doc Brown, I'm stumped.
  16. Feliz is a .250 hitter who's not signed yet. I'm sure they can find room for A-Rod in there.
  17. Wait, he's 6'10" and there are three of him?!?! Sign him now, Omar.
  18. Ah. Thanks, Val. I don't know that David Wright's the best defensive 3B in the league, but I'm sure he's honored to be recognized. Hey, they kept giving the award to Jeter, and he sucked too.
  19. Someone get Vern Hoscheit on the phone.
  20. No wonder they're so good defensively, if they're allowed four outfielders. Much easier to get to balls that way.
  21. Who is Eyebrows McGee there, just above Aguilera?
  22. DAMN. That's impressively obscure.
  23. Plus we would then hate him forever.
  24. Excellent. We'll take Cain and Lincecum for Ramon Castro. Thanks.
  25. Or it could just say Crane Pool Forum. It would etch our legacy in stone roughly until the end of time.
