    Crazy thing is, he's not going to be "fired." They're just not going to re-sign him. Same thing, different thing. I agree with Yancy; I'd think it'd be tempting to retire and move on, since he's already unattached for '08 anyway. He's probably a HOFer by now, and he might as well enjoy himself. But it's gotta be tempting to be so close to a WS title.
