At the end of August, the Mets had a seven-game lead over the Phillies. They then beat us seven times. Face it, folks, they kicked our asses. Hard. Credit them for getting the job done and winning the division. Take those seven games out of the equation, and they were only one game better than us at the end; and ultimately, that's all that matters. Our guys could have won more games? Well, so could their guys have, and then this weekend would have been a moot point. They lost two out of three in Florida, and two out of three in Atlanta, and split a four-game set with Colorado. They lost games too. That said, I hate Rollins, and Burrell, and Utley, and Myers, and Hamels, and the rest of those jagoffs. I hope they get swept. (I do like Ryan Howard, though.) You want a rivalry? You got one.
