    Bay's not totally worthless today.

    Know your place, Jordangry.

That was an EPIC exchange and fun to read from top to bottom. Great work, gentleman.

Collins wanted to give him a rest. It was up to David as to whether he wanted to face Linecum on Tuesday or Cain on Wednesday. Wright chose Cain.

    I hat baseball.

I've always said McGehee's name as if it were a Michael Jackson vocal riff.

    I'm where Vic is.

Oh, there is no option for 2013. He is fully signed for next year. The option is for 2014, but he is nowhere near on pace with his ABs for it to kick in...nor will the Mets allow him to get there next year if he is still on the roster. 2014 option guaranteed with 600 PAs in 2013 or 500 PAs in both 2012, 2013

    Great work!

Great work! I read it again as Garrison Keilor and I agree.

I'm game. I enjoyed Payback as an action flick. Would it be worth watching it again before taking in Gringo?

Per Metsblog: I dont think anything can get any worse than this right now, Thole later told reporters. We cant wait to get out of here right now, he said, as his team packed up around him before leaving for an 11-game, West Coast road trip that starts tonight. IMO, players wanting to leave for a west coast road trip in order to get away from home is a sign of just how lost this team is.

In my mind, only an 11-0 road trip and then a 6-0 home stand to follow would put the Mets back into the postseason discussion. That's how far they have fallen. Ready, Mets? Go!

Reyes' contract DOES NOT include no-trade protection.

So, Ramon Hernandez will not be placing Nickeas? That's a plus.

It's pretty brutal to see three months of better-than-expected play be wiped out in under two weeks. The wheels have definitely come off.

No one is untouchable...but I would have to be pretty blown away to consider getting rid of a fairly cheap veteran pitcher who has been very consistent for the team over the past 3 years. Personally, I'd sooner re-sign Dickey than look to trade him.

I'd be selling now...but I imagine Sandy will stand pat. Or worse, he'll trade for Ramon Hernandez under the guise of trying to make the team better. Ugh.

This is 3 post-All-Star free falls and the second on Terry's watch. Very frustrating for sure. It's s hard to expect more from such a young offense. No matter how they finish, I really enjoyed watching their first half. I don't see anyone getting the axe. I still maintain that Sandy and ownership were prepared for much worse than what showed up on the field this season and, if anything, they have to be pleasantly surprised. The no-no and Dickey's June definitely sold some tix that might have otherwise been left on the table. Hopefully, Wright keeps playing at an MVP level and they can hope to sell a few more with a couple of good weeks in August/September. The second wildcard will give a glimmer of hope to a handful of .500 teams during the last month of the season.

I trade Duda. I think Davis has the higher ceiling and is the better defender.

On pace to set the record around 09/01/12, which is too fast for me. For selfish reasons, I want him to be breaking it two weeks later while he (and I) are in Milwaukee.

I'm actually looking forward to this one...but I'll wait a few weeks to let the hype die before seeing it. I loved The Dark Knight and the few reviews I've seen of this one say that it's better than TDK.
