  1. I do go to a handful of minor league games every year. I love watching baseball and not really caring about the outcome (go Isotopes, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). I wonder if the st00pid runner on second thing got tested out in some winter ball league or some place already? Or are they running it out for the first time now across all minor league levels? I have a bad feeling fans are going to love it IRL, despite overwhelmingly hating the idea of it.
  2. I think there's too many dudes in front of him to allow for any significant PT at the big league level, but he'll see some time at short and second and (say 50 ABs) and get on base at clip that makes people wonder if he should be the dude at second going into 2019.

  4. Re-assigned after a solid spring showing of .348/.464/.391 (.856 OPS) in 23 ABs. 529 PA at AA last year, so I'm guessing it's Vegas, baby, for this dude.
  5. Let me know if these are workable.
  6. I have the 77 and 90 you're looking for. Will upload some pics shortly.
  7. I'll check the garage and see what I have.
  8. Harv in 2018: better, but not great. A tryst with second-tier Instagram-famous Croatian model who is hot by any standard, but not a top-shelf Russian, Vogue cover model. And less importantly, we see above-average pitching bolstered by an increased velocity and a more stable command of the strike zone. 11 wins, 170 IP, 155 K, 3.75 ERA. The Mets offer him an extension, which he naturally declines. He shits the bed in his last start as a Met and walks off with a dirty smirk on his face. In the offseason, he signs a 3-year contract with the MFY. Simultaneously becomes the most hated former Met and the most popular Yankee not named Jeter. BONUS Expectations for 19: Matt Harvey Edition Accidentally slices his right hand on a broken champagne flute at a giant, Red Bull™ / Tinder© industry party, requiring surgery to repair a nerve in his hand. He pitches 50 very poor innings in the Bronx, is DFA'd, and sadly retires at age 32, a very bloated Long Island Duck with an ERA in the mid 6's. A sad, cautionary tale.
  9. Yah none too surprising. Flexen pitched well, though. See ya in September, David Thompson!
  10. Shitty pitching across the board so far. Guillorme the only real bright spot with 2 hits and a walk. Would be nice to take a few nuggets of positivity away from these games.
  11. Matz gets one out in the 5th and is replaced by Montero. Hit his pitch limit maybe? And Adrian Gonzalez singles again. 2-3 today, up off the spring interstate.
  12. Looks like he settle down some. 2 in the first, but he's now through 3 innings, couple walks, 3 K's.
  13. I wonder if Td'A or Plawecki will end up being a question? Neither has made their mark against Martinez. Travis is 1-6 (single, RBI, and 2 K's) and Plaweck is 0-3. As of today, I'm guessing Travis does get the start? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  14. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Matz already crapping the bed. 2 on, 0 out A big day for Matz with Wheeler looking like crap yesterday, so of course Matz is trying to look like crap, too.
  15. Adrian Gonzalez with a single? Is this real life?
  16. Mets graphics department with this gif(t) to you! [tweet:30zn8p82] [/tweet:30zn8p82]

  18. This league sounds fun!
  19. Ceetar wrote: your team is your team. keepers are already set. you keep everyone. It'll suck to miss the draft though. At the very least you should see if you can find someone that just wants to draft for you, at least just for a few guys to round out the roster. otherwise you'll have a week to play with the waiver wire and add guys. You're coming in with a real solid team though. OK, cool, so I have 18 guys already. The draft then is to fill out the remaining however many roster spots? I think I get ask my brother to fill in. He's been wanting to do an auction so he would dig it. FG/Ottoneu does not have an app, do they?
  20. PS - I'm going to send Easton Assassins dude $10 bucks to cover the fee he already paid.
  21. I got an email from mm's homie. He said he'd be dropping and would ship the old Guadalajara Cornballers team back to me, if that's cool with everybody else. If so, would you guys refresh me on the format, key dates, etc.? And catch me up on the new changes? Gracias... what was your fangraphs/ottoneu id? main one is you have to be available (or find a proxy to be available) next Wednesday at 9 for the auction draft. Otherwise it's Otto roto. categories listed on the team pages, your prospective roster. https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/209/team?team=1886 the current argument is a few people seem adamantly against playoffs because of a slightly different format for determining the winner. No one's vehemently come out in favor of playoffs (though I'm sure they will the second I cave and nix the playoffs) Currently winner is crowned at the end of the season based on the roto categories. proposal would be a head to head format over the last 4 weeks of the season which uses a more counting based statistic grouping (doubles, SB, HR etc) rather than the rate based ones we use now. ottoneu id: aboynamedseo Sux on the draft date... me and muh lady friend have tix to an event, so I'll have to see if I can re-sked, but it's unlikely. What's the deal w/ keepers?
  22. I think Gsellman was punching above his weight in 2016. It worked for a bit, but I think the K/9 numbers we've seen before and since are more the real deal. I think he'll get about half the starts he got last year (~12 or so) and pitch more towards his career ERA (4.44) and K/9 (6.8) numbers. I predict the better Gsellman will show himself coming out of the pen.

  24. Radio guys say Wheeler was buzzin 98/99 but just the same, the wheels came off this one pretty quickly. 5-nil Nats. I'm goin for a drink. LG(B)M
