  1. Frazier walks, then gets picked off by Josh Edgin. The Mets are playing some sloppy ass baseball this month.
  2. Rosario just made a sweet barehanded play that will be worth the hunt online for the replay. Jake did 5 scoreless, 8 K's, but Gsellman comes on and promptly gives up a homer. 1-1 score.
  3. Pretty, leaping snare by Rosario to end the Orioles half of the 4th.
  4. Mets get a run on a Cabrera double and a Jay Bruce single, while Jacob deGrom just does the damn thing, 3 IP, 6 K's.
  5. Since I have been crapping on Gonzalez as much or more as anyone here, I feel obligated to point out his very nice opposite field single in his first AB. I think it made Keith a little horny, too.
  6. Live shot of Conforto in a minor league game just made me swoon.
  7. The regulars are catching up now, but Evans, Kaczmarski, Borenstein, etc. got quite a few ABs, so I put a little less stock in the team stats. I worry more about the slow starts of Gonzalez, Reyes (cause we know his slow start lasted like 3 months last year), and Cabrera. We already know Frasier's gonna hit .219 anyway, he's just missing the pop.
  8. Yah some of this movie bugged me, too. ***Spoiler below*** What the hell was up with the guy who harassed Frances McDormand's character in the gift shop, hinting that he raped and murdered her daughter, then was bragging about burning a body in the town bar? But guess what, he's not the dude at all, just some rando from Idaho. That seemed a forced misdirection.
  9. The new Easton Assassins ownership has reached out to the owners of the park in Guadalajara, Mexico (where the Cornballers used to call home) to check on the park's availability for the upcoming season. Usage of the Cornballerâ„¢ machine in the concession area during our inaugural season sadly resulted in numerous injuries to staff and patrons alike, so the Guadalajara tenants have refused all attempts to renew our partnership, citing "current and pending litigation," whatever that implies. As such, we have contacted a number of municipalities in the US, Canada and Mexico and have found one eager taker: the city of Pawnee, Indiana. There is a small park on the border of Pawnee and the neighboring town of Eagleton that Mayor Knope has invited our club to use for free, on one condition. We must pay tribute to the storied history of Pawnee and their native ancestors by adorning our uniforms with the name and colors of their legacy mascot, the Pawnee Drunken Savages. We have happily accepted! We'll see you on the field soon, Pawneeans!
  10. I guessed Dom, but that's based only on my dumb gut.
  11. Ceetar wrote: A Boy Named Seo wrote: Thanks, gents. Just to be clear, I have no pending actions (cut lists or otherwise) prior to the draft? correct. Aside from changing my team name, that is. Thx, ceets.
  12. Thanks, gents. Just to be clear, I have no pending actions (cut lists or otherwise) prior to the draft?
  13. The boys showed a little life after we all bailed, scoring 5 in the 9th. Mid-March now, seems they are smartly starting to ramp up. The Mets are geniuses.
  14. I went to a double-header last year in AAA and both games were scheduled for 7 innings. If they're already doing it, they should just do it.
  15. Ceetar wrote: but will you be able to tell them how many times the ball spins? I'll just kinda wing it. Harvey pitched again in the 4th. I missed it. Some stuff happened. Or it didn't. Sorry, Mets, I blew the gig
  16. Harvey's 3rd inning in velo. FB lost some juice and the no-names started battering him. Rivera: 94 / 93 / 88 / 85 / 92 (line single to center) Peters: 92 / 93 / 80 / 94 / 93 / 92 (walk) Schuck: 92 (line single to right) Lee: 92 (bunt, force out at third) Anderson: 91 / 87 / 93 / 93 (fly out to right) Telis: 92 / 84 / 86 (RBI single to right) Brinson: 90 (wild pitch, run scored) / 93 / 93 / 85 / 93 / 92 / 85 (fly out to right) PS - hey, Mets! I will chart pitches for you this season (for a fee, duh) but will do it with way more personality and snark than StatTracker or whatever it's called. DM me, Sandy.
  17. I thought Brinson, Schuck, and Peters was the law firm that facilitated the Stormy Daniels payola.
  18. Edgy MD wrote: Do I know anybody in this Marlin lineup? Brinson and Schuck are the only names I feel like I've heard of before.
  19. Harvey's 2nd inning in velo. Still got 95 a couple times. Telis: 80 / 94 (line out to center) Brinson: 87 / 87 / 95 / 92 (ground ball single to center) Cooper: 94 / 93 / 94 / 93 / 93 / 94 / 88 (line single to left) Diaz: 92 / 86 / 81 (wild pitch, out at home Plawecki to Harvey) / 95 (K looking)
  20. Cabrera walks, Big Dawg grounds into a 5-4-3 inning ender. The NOffense lurches on.
  21. Harvey's 1st inning in velo. Nice seeing that mid-90s. Schuck: 94 / 86 (ground ball out on slider) Lee: 95 / 90 / 96 / 95 / 81 (swinging K on curve) Anderson: 92 / 86 / 94 / 95 (looking K)
  22. MLB.TV has this one today.
  23. TransMonk wrote: It looks like playoffs will be considered for 2019, but not this season. Batter categories: R, HR, OBP, SLG Pitcher categories: ERA, WHIP, HR/9, K Just curious, did I miss the decision on playoffs? looks like ceeter was still considering, last message I saw.
  24. TransMonk wrote: It looks like playoffs will be considered for 2019, but not this season. Batter categories: R, HR, OBP, SLG Pitcher categories: ERA, WHIP, HR/9, K Thx, homie.
  25. So what's gonna be the deal here regarding playoffs? Also, can someone please point me to the categories for scoring? I don't see them in the league settings. Lastly, ceets, I think you need to invite me, or assign that team to me. Something. Please and thank you.
