  1. I don't think I could hit Darvish even if you made him throw 5 balls at once. Awesome graphic.

I haven't ridden a bike in years, I'm sure the Midtown->Flushing route is a piece of cake right? You could borrow Seo's bike.
  3. Anyone watching the post-game? I don't think I've ever seen more makeup on one person than there is on Bobby V right now.
  4. It's still depressing. Buck's start is nice but we know it's not really going to last. This sucks BHMC.
  5. Three months for a sprained ankle. Looks like they could use Mackey Shilstone.
  6. I don't know why, but I have this feeling/hope that Jordany is going to be a pleasant surprise for us. Ike looks lost. Not just the 0 for 4, but looks terrible doing it. He's jumping, starting early. I'm starting to think that he will never be a legitimate #4 hitter.
  7. I was pretty pissed at Jose when he left and found myself rooting for him to have a shit season last year with the Marlins. Yesterday though, I found myself really hoping he was ok. Trade for Reyes now while his value is low.
  8. Car dealership declines to pay for rights to MFY logos, decides to dress ugly spokegirl in MFY-like gear to piss us off.
  9. Didn't take long to remember how aggravating baseball can be. Irritating game.
  10. Hefner (pretty douchy himself) versus Kendrick. Would be nice to start the season with three series wins.
  11. He got shelled. Very douchy.
  12. Gee seems pretty douchy.
  13. Clearly the toughest matchup of the series. Of course, we have John Buck and they don't, so that's worth something.

  15. Definitely comes across jocky. Don't see the douchy yet. In any case, if he ends up as good as Seaver (or anything close) let's agree he can be as douchy as he wants. We'll just know ahead of time not to put him in the booth. I am starting to discover how meatheady I am. I am so much more pumped for Harvey blowing hitters away than I was for RA delicately dominating last year.
  16. Frayed Knot wrote: Folks, we got ourselves one seriously good pitcher on our hands here. Holy crap guys. What if he really is this good?
  17. Sure, it's a small sample size, but how much would Alderson be getting killed if he had signed him to an extension, then RA started the season with two starts like he has?
  18. I see votes as low as 2 points for Gee yesterday. 6 1/3 of one run ball doesn't buy you as much as it used to.
  19. Gee 3.5 Buck 1.5 Turner 1.5 Lyon .5
  20. Really looking forward to tonight's game. In many ways, I feel like Opening Day is its own event and the season really starts tonight. Looking forward to watching Harvey.
  21. Awful. Like Pedro before him I loved Johan more than he deserved given the injuries. Great determination on the mound. One of my favorite Mets of recent times. Guess we don't have to worry about that option.
  22. I remember when Ralph Kiner joined him in the booth a few years ago. McCarver went back to play-by-play, was deferential, and was suddenly the likeable Tim from our youth. Ralph left and Tim was a dick again.
  23. The self-fulfilling prophecy stuff is not going to make him evil fast enough. I thought about tempting him to the dark side of the force, but even that took three excruciating movies. We need something that works faster. I say we find the Ring of Power.
  24. How awesome would it be if Lucas Duda could actually be that guy. Surly, redneck monster power hitter. Drives a pickup truck with horns on it. Listens to Metallica. The kind of guy that advocates for gun control, not because he is against hunting but because he believes animals should be killed with your bare hands. Lucas Duda arrested for disorderly conduct. Lucas Duda charges mound. Lucas Duda destroys 150k camera after a cameraman wanders too close after a tough game. I want Lucas Duda to throw someone through a plate glass window because he asks him if he's "related to Zip-a-Dee". And of course, hit .295, mash 48 HR's and drive in 140.
