  1. Yeah. None of the 2026 Mets should be saying a thing about how fans act. Especially Sean Manaea.
  2. A lot of support for Alonso tonight. also. A very loud “Fire Stearns” chant. I wonder what Cohen is thinking about all this.
  3. Last nights results notwithstanding, Dedniel Nunez is a promising home grown guy.
  4. Meh. At least Jonah pitched well.
  5. Looks like a crap game. But Scott pitching this well is a good sign.
  6. Today is a big game. well. As big a game as a team playing out the string can have.
  7. Looks like I missed a fun game. Good job guys.
  8. This season sucks. Trade the whole team. Fire all coaches. Burn Stearns at the stake.
  9. His first swing was at a ball too. Terrible AB.
  10. wtf Mets. The whole year sucks. You could at least win on 9-11. Also McLean is annoying. 3 balls on every batter. He needs to sack up and establish his fastball.
  11. Btw. Big grain of salt. Mendoza record with Soto Hurt: 2-12 Green record with Soto Hurt: 17-14
  12. The answer to all questions is, of course, we don’t know. There’s no way to know. What I do know is that the man sat up there for just over a calendar year with no answers. Nothing to offer. Completely befuddled. I don’t know if he was part of the problem, but he certainly wasn’t part of the solution. I would have fired him after the 2025 season. 83 wins with that team, that payroll warrants firing. 4 months of futility with no answers made it patently clear. And 89 wins the year before isn’t enough to offset that. But the Mets chose to bring him back, and even those in favor of it agreed he should have a short leash I get that it’s tough to fire a manager on April 21. But a 12 game losing streak is fucking insane. By the time you get to May 24, it’s obvious he has to go. Hanging onto him for another month is inexcusable. And it’s not just the losing. We saw some of the dumbest baseball you’ve ever seen. Mental errors, getting picked off, no one backing up bases. For what it’s worth, that kind of stupid play has largely disappeared once Green took over. I no longer look at my TV wondering if anyone has ever played the game before. there was no reason to keep him another month, long after it was obvious to everyone, other than hubris. They didn’t want to admit they made a mistake. And that’s my biggest concern going forward. Will Stearns admit he fucked up and do things differently? Or will this offseason be another example of him being stubborn and doubling down.
  13. I’d be super pumped about Billy Amick if I know only those two stats.
  14. I think it was because he mentioned Stephanopolous. And yes, he did explicitly say he’s not committing to one side or another, but you can’t expect Tomi to pick up that kind of nuance. I don’t think I have any hint of Ron’s political leanings.
  15. Manager records don’t establish causation, but you can’t help but wonder how much the Mets were hurt by doubling down on Mendoza as long as they did. That kind of hubris is the biggest reason for pessimism going forward.
  16. Would be nice to play spoiler and help Tampa.
  17. Where is our second baseman
  18. This is on Green. Lavender shouldn’t be out there and should have been pulled already. If Myers was available I don’t understand not just giving him the 9th with a 4 run lead. Now you use both and Lavender is spent for tomorrow. Probably Saturday too. Idiotic.
  19. Nah Gary. Fuck Paul Blackburn.
  20. That is a good counterpunch.
  21. Morel has to be on third here.
  22. Ha. Ronny says the game used to be played a certain way because it made sense. Tells you how he feels about the IF positioning this inning.
  23. Nice! We benefit from misplaced infielders!
  24. Damn. Ewing just missed that.
  25. Where the fuck is our shortstop
