Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 I just noticed that the Red Sox are playing the Yankees in the Bronx at the same exact time the Padres are playing the Mets in the Queens. It's rare that both New York teams are home at the same time and I think unprecedented on Opening Day, no?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Yes. Scheduling quirk due to the changes in interleague and the Mets hosting the All-Star game as a further schedule constraint. The last time two NY teams opened at home on the same day, there were three of them in the City.

Marlon Byrd? Oh my! Soon, I might be longing for Whitney and Lorinda.Oh yeah .... did someone say Headley?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Cowgill just ruined a bunch of my predictions.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Thumbs down on "clapping sticks." God gave you hands, you ninnies.Thumbs up for giant oversized cutouts of people's heads, players or otherwise. I'm pro-head (it should surprise no one to hear this).
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 What's with all the orange thunder sticks in the outfield that Mex is complaining about?what a pain they are.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Those were provided to the 7 Line Army along with the tix.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 It would be really good if Ike could keep the strikeouts to, say, 120 this year.
