Two creepy sun baby appearances in the same thread. We were really starved for baseball.

It's opening day-- believers and apostates are welcome in the chapel.

And Cowgill is greeted in the dugout with high-fives, bro-forearm-fives, and mike-audible cries-- no kidding-- of "More Cowgill."

Good base running by Cowgill as noted by Gary and his coach when he descended the steps .......Keith is all over Gyorko........has been all day....I do like how Keith gets exasperated with players....or plays they should be making.

Not sure about Schaeffer, but with his second two out RBI hit, Byrd is certainly making a serious bid for Longchamps Clutch PoTG.

Hey, Doc-- if you're having trouble getting your eight-year-old to listen to you, there MIGHT be other factors at play than "he doesn't believe I played ball."

And I'm older than Doc but I can still lift my leg that high. Of course I fall over, but I can still lift it.

Doc looked good though, for those of you listening on radios or not otherwise tuned in to the SNY broadcast. He has dropped some weight I suspect, he looked quite puffy the last time I remember seeing him on TV.

He did say he was too fat to lift his leg.

Guess its almost time to see what our pen can do. Niese is tiring. David shudda had that one down the line. He hesitated mid dive.

Yep, Niese losing the handle on things here. I am thinking they want to see him finish this one out and give 3 innings to the pen, with tomorrow being an off day and all.

God damn, this is fun. I am totally glad I took today off from work to watch the game.

Me too. Took annual leave. Works well cos the forecast is a for a rare mid-autumn beach day.
