ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I guess this qualifies as either a gaydame or gaynight doubleheader, anywayLETS
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 It's Gotay. That question gets asked each time this image is posted. This pic is what baseball is all about.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Incredible picture--never fails to make me smile (I wouldn't mind if the cameraman was cropped out, but that's another matter). The guy to Jose's immediate left looks familiar. I hope he plays again soon.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Yes on Gotay. Two more questions:Who is between Beltran and Wright?Who is the hero about to be mobbed by his teammates?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Carlos Gomez and Shawn Green.I remembered the latter but had to be schooled on the former a few weeks back.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Here's the game:http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYN/NYN200706250.shtml
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I remembered it was Shawn Green because my son was at sleepaway camp that summer and included in the letters I would send him would be be Mets updates. That picture - or one very similar - was on the back page of the New York Post and I folded it up and sent it him in the envelope with my letter. He kept it and still has it hanging on his wall in room.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 LWBHer thinks JoseX4 should cut his hair again.I think I agree.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 3 games, 24 hours. Who pitches more innings, Santana or Nieve?
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 LoDuca looks positively insane in that pic. He reminds me of Jon Favreau's character in the Replacements.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I cant find this game anywhere on Direct. Anyone know where the hell I can find it?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Nevermind me. MLB At Bat was telling me this was a 1:10 start. Laundry now. See ya!
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 It's a 1:10 start for you.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 3 up 3 down in the first for Johan.Kills me that I am not able to make these games.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Just caught the MLB.com live look-in: there look to be fewer people at Citi right now than at your typical off-Broadway show.(And same here, GWreck.)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 1-2-3 go the Dodgers in the 1st
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 On 9 pitches (five of which came in the Pagan at-bat). Inauspicious start.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Johan's got Loney picked, but is a little slow to throw over, and Ike is a little slow to throw to second... and there's Loney at second. Then Martin walks. 2 on, 2 out. Unnecessary aggravation.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
