Adam Rubin asked Bay about his t-shirt and if the words meant anything. He said he didn't know what it meant. A commenter at Rubin's blog said it meant "The Common Good is the Message." BTW, Bay told Rubin that he bought the shirt at Nordstrom. That concludes today's episode of "important stuff we've learned about Jason Bay."[/quote:2s0ejxcm]

Which current/recent Mets do you think would NEVER wear something like this without knowing what it meant?

I'm thinking Johan. Figueroa. And maybe Delgado.

Given the revelations surrounding Beltran's surgery, you might say Bay put on a Mets uniform before knowing what it meant.

How cool would it be to see one of the Mets roll out sporting one of these bad boys!

Given Delgado's feelings regarding language and words, yeah, I think he'd fit in that category.

On that note, I wonder what "Street Spanish" is up to these days? Did he start his own Fight Club yet?

The MFY's provide ample examples of proper doucheness with their annual " bonding trip" in Tampa...

You know the Mets need to copy this genius stuff from Girardi and head over to Duffy's .

Is Montero wearing a yarmulke in that first pic?
Dispite his clothing douchebaggery, Wagner will not be a true Brave until he has pictures of pickup trucks hanging up in his locker.

Saw a guy today wearing a Yankee insignia cap. But it was in University of North Carolina blue with a white NY.
To paraphrase the name of the bar from Road House, that makes that cap a double douche.

Someone on the Chris Creamer board posted this (and was picked up by Uniwatch, which is where I read it.)

So, these knuckleheads have basically one uniform logo and they can't get it straight?

In fairness, the Tigers are equally letter-challenged -- the D on the jersey is very different than on the cap -- but I don't dislike them.

Yikes

Mike The Situation throws out first pitch during spring training game

that was last weeks game against the Astros

"Awesome experience meeting all the mets n David WRight - My throw game will admit was a lil off lol."

This from Lennon the other day

The situation

A little bit of Virginia Beach mixed with "The Jersey Shore" this past week when David Wright and Mike "The Situation" teamed to film a viral ad campaign for Vitamin Water. The theme of the ad, which launches April 1, involves Wright looking for a new trainer after last year's disappointing season. The Mets' third baseman picks The Situation, known on the show for his ripped physique and marathon tanning sessions. Wright said The Situation is not much of a baseball fan, but Jeff Francoeur did get an autographed photo for the Braves' Brian McCann, a Jersey Shore junkie.

Fuck Jersey Shore. Fuck non-baseball fans throwing out the first pitch. Fuck cross-promotions. Fuck Derek Jeter's haircut. Fuck autographs of douchebags for Brian McCann.

Pull up your pants, douchebag, you're on a baseball field.

I'm proud to say - at least I think I am - that I have no idea what 'Jersey Shore' is.
I mean I know what the Jersey shore is - although Long Islanders refer to the shore as the beach, as opposed to in Jersey where they call the beach the shore.

I've picked up a little bit about Jersey Shore through osmosis. It is, I think, a show about a bunch of Italian-American stereotypes who behave badly at the beach. There's a girl on the show called Snooky, or Snoopy, or something like that.

And now you know what I know.

K-Rod's new Lamborghini was just delivered this morning to the players lot via flatbed truck. Shortly afterward,a crowd formed. That's K-Rod with his arm wrapped looking in.
Newsday

Only a douche would drive that with his arm wrapped .

I'm not at all into cars. Even if I was a billionaire, I wouldn't drive a sports car.

But that car in that picture? It looks like a Tic Tac. Is that really supposed to be cool?

European playboys drive them a lot.

Meanwhile may I present to you Richard Queer all dressed up as a fucking douchebag.

Actor Richard Gere, right, talks with New York Yankees' Reggie Jackson, left, and Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland prior to a spring training baseball game Sunday, March 28,

They look like crap in pictures, and I'd almost definitely never buy one myself, even in an alternate universe in which I had infinitely more disposable income.

But they're pretty shapely in person.
