Effin' A, Mets. Did you see the story on SNY the other day about the Opening Day party at some bar, with all the crazy die-hard Mets fans there? Not a single fucking black hat in the bunch. Every person they showed had the same fitted blue cap. No black, no pink, no green, no white. Blue, with the orange interlocking NY. Is it so fucking hard to keep one hat? Really?

Is it just me or does Castillo look like he has a permanent limp?

I can picture Bob Murphy calling the game up in heaven.

Unfortunately I can't get that broadcast. I'm making do, quite nicely, with Howie and Wayne.

I didn't, but I think that should be clipped and sent to the Mets along with a version of this post. Send it to www.bantheblack.com as well.

Pagan almost makes it back to back.
Falls short to the track in left center.

I hope Delgado pays for all those decorative porcelain logos he breaks.

Chase pulls off the 4-3 DP.

Tags Church (hit by pitch) and tosses to 1st.

We aren't we wearing the pinstripes?

For all those who've doubted Delgado, he's currently hitting at .381.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned.

Really nice to see him pull that out.

Yeah, he's proven that he's still capable of having a good week.

We'll need more than that from him. Hopefully we'll get it, but I don't think he'll get in the neighborhood of 38 home runs again.

can anyone help me out with this play...

2nd inning:
"Pedro Feliz grounds into unassisted double play, first baseman Carlos Delgado. Jayson Werth out at 2nd. Two out."

what happened there?

Local rag covering yesterdays Phils win vs Cincinnati.
It doesn't say Phils beat Reds or anything like that.

It says:

BURRELL'S HRs
HELP PHILLIES
PREP FOR METS

I think that shows you how the locals feel about this rivalry.

Feliz grounded into double play, out at first, Werth out at second.

Guess that doesn't answer your question, lol.

I dunno, I was AFTV at the time.

Feliz hit a liner that got to delgado on one hop, delgado stepped on the bag and the tagged Werth (who i guess is out at 2nd because he was attempting to advance as oppose to diving back to first?)

He's out "at second" because first was already attained.

Perez gets Howard, who I have dubbed "The Bigger Hurt", on that nasty slow curve. STRIKE 3-YOUR OUTTA THERE.

Howie & Hagin impressed with Delgado's homer. Just heard my first Wayne Hagin inning and say... um. Didn;t suck at least.

Woulda been nice if the top of the order gave him something to call.
