Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I can picture Bob Murphy calling the game up in heaven.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Effin' A, Mets. Did you see the story on SNY the other day about the Opening Day party at some bar, with all the crazy die-hard Mets fans there? Not a single fucking black hat in the bunch. Every person they showed had the same fitted blue cap. No black, no pink, no green, no white. Blue, with the orange interlocking NY. Is it so fucking hard to keep one hat? Really?
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Is it just me or does Castillo look like he has a permanent limp?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Sounds like Wright hit one deep, a potential two-run homer that died at the warning track.Still scoreless, Phillies batting in the second.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Im getting the Phillies local feed, still very much free public access.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 As Howie's talking about how well Delgado does against Moyer, Carlos launches one out of the park.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Pagan almost makes it back to back.Falls short to the track in left center.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I hope Delgado pays for all those decorative porcelain logos he breaks.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 For all those who've doubted Delgado, he's currently hitting at .381.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Chase pulls off the 4-3 DP.Tags Church (hit by pitch) and tosses to 1st.We aren't we wearing the pinstripes?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Yeah, he's proven that he's still capable of having a good week. We'll need more than that from him. Hopefully we'll get it, but I don't think he'll get in the neighborhood of 38 home runs again.
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Fugly number font on Phillies unis.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 can anyone help me out with this play...2nd inning:"Pedro Feliz grounds into unassisted double play, first baseman Carlos Delgado. Jayson Werth out at 2nd. Two out."what happened there?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Three innings gone already. Game's moving briskly.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Local rag covering yesterdays Phils win vs Cincinnati. It doesn't say Phils beat Reds or anything like that.It says:BURRELL'S HRsHELP PHILLIESPREP FOR METSI think that shows you how the locals feel about this rivalry.

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 He's out "at second" because first was already attained.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Perez gets Howard, who I have dubbed "The Bigger Hurt", on that nasty slow curve. STRIKE 3-YOUR OUTTA THERE.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 ok, that makes sense to me. thanks.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Howie & Hagin impressed with Delgado's homer. Just heard my first Wayne Hagin inning and say... um. Didn;t suck at least.Woulda been nice if the top of the order gave him something to call.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 oooo--big nasty collision between Victorino and Werth chasing down Wrights drive to the gap in right center.
