Bullpen usage over the past five days. The coloring makes more sense if you check out the dedicated page, where there's a description for the chart. https://grandcentralmets.com/new-york-mets-bullpen-usage-transactions-roster-moves/ whippoorwill 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Sunday at 06:58 PM Author Posted Sunday at 06:58 PM Well, Tyrone Taylor will tell you that scoring has been known to happen.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 07:01 PM Posted Sunday at 07:01 PM 1-1. Somehow I feel fortunate that we have 1.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Sunday at 07:10 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:10 PM Vientos playing as if one run is all his team will score, fuggs up going for the DP when one out should have been enuff. Pressure is the enemy.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 07:12 PM Posted Sunday at 07:12 PM Well I’m glad I tuned in for that. im out. Not going to let this shitty team ruin my day. everyone needs to be fired.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM McLean retired 8 of the first 9 he faced and picked off the one who did reach on just a soft single.. But starting with the 4th inning, he put down just 5 of the next 12 he faced allowing on four hits (all hard) plus two walks and the error. This has become a worrying mini-trend so far this season for him.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM I would love to root for a team that found themselves capable of stringing together multiple hits in a single inning for purposes of scoring runs

The Mets, meanwhile, got three of their first four hitters on base ... and then just one of the next 18 with almost nothing hit hard aside from the solo HR
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 07:44 PM Posted Sunday at 07:44 PM In fairness to this HP ump, out of the five (of 7) overturned calls I believe all of them have been within one inch and at least two were just 0.1" one way or the other.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 07:44 PM Posted Sunday at 07:44 PM Is there anything this rendition of the Mets does well? They do not hit well for average. They do not hit with power. They were reportedly built with improving the run prevention through improved defense, but they do not play good team do not play good team do not play good defense. The starting pitching is very inconsistent (or just plain bad) beyond McLean & Holmes. Even the two of them can seldom get through 6 innings. The bullpen has been unable to close out tight games. Our "closer" can't seem to get anyone out. I don't see much evidence that this is a playoff caliber team. Radar and whippoorwill 2
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Sunday at 07:49 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:49 PM Strike three to Baty was more off the plate than most of the calls overturned today.
Radar Verified Member Posted Sunday at 07:49 PM Posted Sunday at 07:49 PM Team Stearns really looking bad. The Hot Corner 1

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 08:03 PM Posted Sunday at 08:03 PM 🚨 BREAKING: The Mets are losing again.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM I'm tempted to use Melendez for Robert here. I'm probably wrong but maybe not.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 08:08 PM Posted Sunday at 08:08 PM Robert employs his no-GiDP strategy too!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 08:10 PM Posted Sunday at 08:10 PM 0-4 w/bases loaded and not a single fair ball hit [K, K, Foul Out, K]
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 08:19 PM Posted Sunday at 08:19 PM Lets walk it off for Warren.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 08:48 PM Posted Sunday at 08:48 PM Again, another pitcher having a crappy year turned into an All-Star by this pathetic offense. Something has to give soon. Mendoza shouldn't send out any dry cleaning. Alex Cora and 5 coaches were fired for less. MFS62 1
