How long is a while? It's been stagnant since we've moved over here. I didn't want there to be an onslaught of 1,000 new faces in a month, but a few new people here would've been nice so it's not the same 8 people talking at each other each day.

Yes I do read and enjoy a lot of the articles but I wish they’d segue into more of the posting around here. I know it’s hard to comment on Mets content if you do not or cannot actively follow them but there is other stuff they can join into.

I think the conversation has been kinda lively (on the Mets board anyway) for what has been a dead Mets season.

I'm glad some guys are back.  I thought I saw Fman posting not long ago.

Wish we could get Greg and KC back.  Miss those guys.

I hung out with Fman yesterday. We played a few tunes together at a festival.

Tell him to get his effing butt back here. It's been tough trying to F in his footsteps.

I sent a message to KC 6-8 weeks ago telling him that I missed his input and hoped to see him posting again in the future.  Never received a reply or saw him post since then.  I remember he was one of the members most against the move here.

I am happy for the longtime members that returned to posting since the move here, but unfortunately for each member we had rejoin the discussions we seemed to have one the dropped out.

Attracting new people is a slow process, and I felt I was pretty upfront about that. We need to attract traffic, and that's a months- and years-long process that I chip away at behind the scenes.

Right now, the biggest problem is that the Mets are a complete and utter failure. That really hurts in-season traffic, particularly the second half of the season. As a person who has run a Twins site for 20 years, I'm painfully well-versed in uncompetitive teams and what they do to traffic in the second half of the summer.

As for forum traffic itself, here is the number of posts per month since January 1, 2025. It's basically the same as last season. Not terrible considering how the Mets started and continued throughout the season.

As for the years-long process I talked about, here are Google clicks. This is the key to new traffic, and what we'll keep working on indefinitely. But as you can see, it's all moving in the right direction. Somewhere around the year mark, the domain finally asserts itself, and this number starts to rapidly grow.

Typically, we tend to do our best work in the offseason. That's when others take their foot off the gas, and we lean in. In most cases, our biggest gains come from November through January.

Of course, baseball is going to kick us all in the balls this winter, so... *shrugs*

Like I always say, we take the long view. We'll keep plugging away, and we'll make it work in time. It'd just be nice if the powers that be weren't working against their own fans.

I like the new format. I appreciate the work Brock has done. Some of the features, such as the ability to easily post photos, are excellent.

I miss some of the people and hope they come back. I do not miss the ones who brought abuse and pain to the site.

LGM.

By the way, the one game the team has lost since the deadline was the one I drove six hours to see. Life of a Mets fan, to be sure! I did get a cool game ball pitched by Jefry Yan.

I think some of the missing folks isn't a refection on the new home, but new choices they have made.

I would encourage any and all to reach out to those you miss.  Tell them about your Jefry Yan balls.
