Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 15 Author Posted October 15 Blake Smell ... amirite folks? Centerfield 1
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Wow Snell was not taken out. And now gives up another HR.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Would be ironic if leaving Blake Snell in too long ends up costing them their season. Marshmallowmilkshake 1
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 15 Posted October 15 These guys play good defense. Well positioned. Execute well.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 15 Author Posted October 15 So unless the Dodgers have some 'Cowboy Up' in them, their goal of a 'three-peat' ain't happenin'.

I think I'm OK with that. Our future ace can get a head start on his offseason and resting! Then again, I was convinced the White Sox were certain to advance in the last round!

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Paid attendance last night was 50,708 — several thousand short of selling out (before even considering the many thousand more no-shows). The Dodgers had bigger crowds at 31 of their home games this year. Unlike Tampa, this isn’t a season-long issue. The Dodgers set an all-time record for regular-season attendance. Game was at 5 PM local (perhaps a little inconvenient) but this still smacks of ticket prices that don’t bear resemblance to reality and/or a bad fanbase.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15 Posted October 15 After several months this site is finally whitelisted and viewable to me while I'm on my work laptop. This will help me stay a bit more engaged than I've been all year. I hope the Dodgers get swept this week.

As far as I know, though, Kevin Millar never trademarked 'Cowboy Up' so you're good there. whippoorwill and metirish 2
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 Game 4 IGT: No score bottom 2nd and yet we've already had a pitching change and a PH assignment. Poor Miguel Rojas gets PH'd for (by Muncy) before his first AB.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 He's Baaaaaaack! 4 - 0 Dodgers following an Ohtani 3R HR
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 I don’t understand how a journeyman like Jake Bauers just puts it all together at 31.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Small market magic or roids Persistence I can barely imagine
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 I thought I heard Bauers couldn't leave baseball because his family needed the health insurance MFS62 1

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Edwin Diaz trying to keep the Brewers at Bay Dodgers have nine more outs
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Ohtani whiffs with runner on third one out
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 A third inning of Diaz? The Mets never tried that
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 They are impressive. If it weren’t for a personal connection to Cleveland I’d root for Brewers too
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 I jumped for joy. (And I think I pulled a muscle) Happy Day! Later
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Naturally scoreboarding which of the NL championship core were Stearns era scouted draftees, and acquisitions are the convo du jour on Met socials. Both sides of Stearns’ franchise running ability debate oddly using the same statistical data 😑🙄
