Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Lefthanded pitching monster Sean Manaea takes the mound against Frankie Montas as the Mets look to bring it on home against the Brewers.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Manaea got knocked around pretty good by these guys last Friday. Hopefully he's more on point tonight. I think he'll shine.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Manaea will be fine. The Brewers ground game is top shelf but the Mets starting pitching is superior to them and most of the other tournament teamsFrankie Montas? Seriously? Tee time!!!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I keep thinking that "Frankie Montas" is a teenage sitcom actor. (Who am I actually thinking of?)Anyway, if the Mets win tonight, Front Row Amy will be sad.And I'm okay with that.https://www.jsonline.com/gcdn/presto/2018/10/05/PMJS/fadb43e0-493c-487a-9a2c-0eef490a6d3b-front-row-amy-archive-2012.JPG?width=660&height=430&fit=crop&format=pjpg&auto=webp>
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 ESPN has the odds at 52.6% Brewers, 47.4% Mets. I'm guessing the Brewers being home accounts for some of that. Frankie Montas. 4.55 ERA. 1.256 WHIP. 4 IP, 2ER last time out against the Mets.Sean Manaea3.47 ERA. 1.084 WHIP.As Fman mentioned, knocked around his last outing against the Brewers.Brewers have the much, much better bullpen.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Is Front Row Amy some retired porn queen or something? I figured I'd ask first before googling and then getting Front RowAmy ads everywhere in Chrome for the next two weeks.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Apparently she's just a fan who's been sitting in that seat at almost every game since 2012. There's a song about her and she's even had her own Bobbleheads doll. No indication that she's a porn star. (Sorry!)

Slap some big tits on me and put me in the front row, I'll be your bobblehead meme fodder

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Very cool, hopefully not needed
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 How I am just learning just now the Mets get no home games in this series
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 It's for the same reason that they had no road games in the 2022 Wild Card Series.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Some more info on Montas.Postseason:3 games pitched. Two with Oakland, one with the Yankees. 9.45 ERA, 1.65 WHIPAt Home:1-7. 4.95 ERA. 1.381 WHIP. Second Half:3-4. 4.38 ERA 1.328 WHIP.IP last 5 outings:4, 2.2, 5.2, 6, 6 What does all this mean? Probably nothing.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I think it means we have a decent shot.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Not one home game. UghhThese wild card series are truly low rent
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Front row Amy has a bad case of turkey neck

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Lindor 6 Iglesias 4 Vientos 5 Nimmo 7 Alonso 3 Martinez DH Marte 9 Taylor 8 Alvarez 2 Manaea 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 2, 2024 Author Posted October 2, 2024 Mostly the same lineup they sent up against Montas last week, except then they used Winker in right instead of Marte.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 The Orioles and Royals are still playing. I suppose the start of the game will be bumped to ESPN2
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 And there's the official announcement.See you on ESPN2.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Im listening to a sloppy looking announcer named BoothI miss you both
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Have to say I like Jon Sciambi and Doug Glanville. Certainly better than Karl and crew
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Right out of the gate! Would love nothing more than a big first inning to take this crowd out of things
