Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 2, 2024 Author Posted October 2, 2024 Man, stay with the pitcher who got the job done on 11 pitches last inning.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 2, 2024 Author Posted October 2, 2024 Well, this day will not be forever known as Maton Wednesday.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 That's what I get for posting in a game thread

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Onto the ninth, need baserunners and not leave 'em there.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I'm sorry that Vientos is out of the game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 2, 2024 Author Posted October 2, 2024 We're burning our last infielder here, peeps.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Oh well, they deserved to lose...
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Oh well. We have a game to watch tomorrow.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Right now the ghost of Bill Gallo is drawing a picture of Maton with goat horns.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Ultimately the bullpen this year is just not good enough to go on a real postseason run.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Sucks. Today was the day to win. Tobias Myers tomorrow. A much better arm for the Brewers.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 2, 2024 Author Posted October 2, 2024 Good pen or bad pen, I always recommend trying to get one more out from the guy that's already getting the job done.

He was well rested, he threw 12 pitches in the 6th, and the bottom of the Brewers order was due up. That seems like the precise scenario to get a second inning out of him, particularly with Maton and Diaz having such high workloads.
