Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2023 Author Posted April 2, 2023 Napped and missed most of Senga's game but happy with the outcome.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Pham looked good!Disappointed with the ballpark. I've been here five or six times snd it gets blander each time.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 With all due respect Gw, that thing was ugly...
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Mets did what they had to here. A split wouldn't have been satisfactory.Senga seems like the real deal, but he also looked like he was wearing down in that 6th inning. Pham supposedly got new contacts so supposedly he's seeing everything better. WTF? You're a professional athlete and your job depends on you being able to see stuff! How is this even an issue?Escobar must be hearing footsteps. Don't think Baty's going to be in Syracuse long.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I was surprised to find that the Mets have had more Japanese-born players (or was it just pitchers?) than any other organization. I feel like this is the first time they went out and got the top Japanese player coming over. They've gotten Hideo Nomo and Daisuke Matsuzaka at the back end of their careers, but this may be the first time they've landed a star pitcher when it was the time to land him.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Yeah, I guess I meant to write "pitchers" there. Kaz came over in a class with Shingo Takatsu, Kazuhito Tadano, and Akinori Otsuka, and was indeed probably tops-on-arrival from that group.
