Is McNeil now his backup and their regular LFer?I think what we're generally seeing is Guillorme platooning with Canha, with McNeil swinging between the two positions. But McNeil is probably getting extra rest as he recovers from some bumps and bruises. Double-digit division leads can allow you to do that.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 This kid that Washington is throwing out there is apparently fresh out of AA, not AAA, baseball. He might be meat.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 MLB.tv free game of the day, but I who have paid am still black'd out.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Despite a pair of two-out baserunners, the Mets put up what is suddenly a very rare first-inning goose egg.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 The fans at Citi Field sound very youthful today. School outings I expect.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 I'm at the game, raising the average age a bit. Yes, at least 3 school groups. A lethargic crowd, waiting for a multiple-run outburst.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Nats threatening with first and third and one of the hardest guys to double up (Dee Strange-Gordon) at the plate.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Strange-Gordon helps some more, turning an RBI single into a second run with a bobble.METS!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 We're gonna need our closer today, it looks like.Don't like to pull starters after five, but that's where we are.The good news is that Slugo is getting a second inning. More runs, please.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 You guys are missing a firing up of the Francisco Lindor RBI machine.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Just trying to shake out the bushes and see who was around.Otto trying to pitch his way out of the hole he's dug, and gets two strikeouts. Nats have LOBbed a lot of dudes.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Just once, I'd like to hear a play-by-play person discuss warming up pitchers and not using them, without wink-wink saying, "There's a term for it, but I won't use it on the air."
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 First and third and two outs, and Nido looking to build on his three-for-three.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Been working with this game playing over my shoulder. That Nido hit looked like an inside the park HR till I realized Nido hit it.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 I'm not complaining but how do you only get to 2B on a ball that goes to the wall?Great day for Nido and a pleasant surprise.
