Wheeler versus this lineup is a mismatch.

They could have resigned Wheeler AND traded for Stroman or resigned Wheeler and kept Kay and Woods-Richardson (the lack of 2d level prospects impacted the trade deadline) but they let Wheeler go (and he went to a division foe), kept Stroman (who I like, this isn't his doing) and cocky asshat BVW told Jeffy that Stroman was just as good (which is what Jeffy wanted to hear so he didn't have to spend money) and then insulted Wheeler ("two half-seasons") which Wheeler might have taped to his locker for inspiration. Remember this when Stroman signs with Toronto or Arizona (I think he has a house there) and the Mets end up with zero for BVW's big trade.

I shut off the game early, which I never do, to watch an episode of a twisty drama about a guy whose wife is killed in a hit and run accident... but is it really an accident?, and he travels from Israel to New York to investigate. It was more fun than the game.
